**Austin's P.O.V**

Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my God. She was in the hospital. She was in a coma. She almost died. My entire life almost died.

I had just gotten the call from Ali. I have no idea what happened, but all I knew was that Kaylee needed me.

Ali was so frantic and hysterical, I could barely understand what she said. All I heard was "Kaylee. . . Stab. . . Hospital. . . Now," Then she hung up.

I had just gotten my lip pierced when she called. I was on my way to Kaylee's house, but quickly detoured to the hospital. I sprinted and sprinted until I reached the hospital. Nothing reached my brain except for save her, save her. C'mon! Save her you worthless being!

After I got there, I immediately went to the receptionist.

"Kaylee Nano. Please tell me she's okay!" I begged, looking at the lady looking to be in her mid-twenties.

"Looks like she just woke up from a coma! She was lucky!" She said in a chirpy voice. How could she say that so positively?!

"Thank you! What room?" I asked, sounding kind of desperate, which I was.

"Oh, I'm sorry! She can only have one visitor at a time! Right now an Alison McGinty is with her. You can sit over there," She said, pointing at a seat next to Tommy.

"Thanks," I said, and rushed over to Tommy.

"What happened!?" I demanded. He started to play with his hair, which he always did when he was nervous.

"Well. . ." he drifted off. I got kind of annoyed.

"What!?" I spat, I probably looked deadly right now, because he scooted over in his seat.

"I think it's Kaylee's story to tell, not mine," He said, looking away. Then it had to be bad. I looked at the uncomfortable hosptal chair next me.

"So it's that bad?" I asked, not looking up.

"Kinda, I mean, the only people who know the truth about what happened are me, Ali, and Kaylee," He said.

I started fidgeting. When I was stressed or upset, that's what I did. I couldn't keep still.

If it was this bad, did I really want to know?

Ali came out a little bit after that, with tearstained cheeks. She sniffled, and ran up to me.

"I'm glad you're here," She said. She exchanged a look with Tommy.

"I didn't say anything, I told him Kaylee has to," He mumbled, looking away.

"You can go in now," A nurse said to Tommy.

"He can go in first," He said, nodding in my direction.

"Okay," She said, and led me into the room.

"She just woke up about a half hour, maybe forty five minutes ago, so don't do anything to upset her. She already seems to be upset about something," She said, while pushing me into the room of a sobbing Kaylee, and closing the door.

She must have heard the door close, because she looked up.

"Hi Kaylee," I said, giving her a sad smile.

"Did they tell you anything?" She asked, looking down.

"Tommy said that if you wanted to tell me what happened, it was your choice, not his."

She took in a shaky breath, "Okay, Austin, this is going to seem completely, and utterly crazy, but you have to believe me," She begged. She sounded so broken, I could only squeak out a small "I will."
