Jennys and her mom quickly packed their stuff. Not long after moving to Australia, Jenny started
school, she was going in third grade. Since she was social since the beginning, she didn't have a
hard time fitting in and making friends. Since her mom was busy taking care of her cousin,
Jenny would take the bus home. Since no one from her class took the bus home, Jenny would
always sit alone at the front. Since she was car sick, there was no point in sitting at the back.
But there was this one girl who from time to time sit next to her. She was a year younger than
Jenny. She always had her walk man in her ears and would be busy with listening to music and
singing along, that she never noticed Jenny. That's what bothered Jenny. Its not that she didn't
prefer people sitting next to her. But it was that girl singing all the time that bothered her. Jenny
tolerated this behaviour for a month or so, but not longer than that. So, when Jenny decided to
put an end to it, it didn't end up as she had planned. So, this one time when Jenny taped her on
her shoulder, to prevent her from singing this one time or suggesting to sit some where else so
that her singing does not get disturbed. That girl didn't budge. She slowly took her handsfree
out from one ear, saying that she from time to time can be annoying and started apologizing.
Jenny replied by that she is not bothered at all, which was a lie.
Before Jenny could finish her guilt tripping process, that girl started complimenting Jenny's
voice. Then she continues by saying that she bets Jenny's singing vice would be even better, and
quickly put one side of the handsfree in Jenny's ear and asked her to sing along. From that day
on forward in order to not be bothered by her singing, Jenny would write down what ever that
girl sang. That's when Jenny's song writing era started.
After first term finished, Jenny's family and the cousin aunt's family, all together moved to New
Zealand. From then, since she no longer had a singing girl right beside her, Jenny started writing
poems. And somehow, along the way those poems turned into something more.
