For the past few months , my old insecurities started to pop up. Specifically , the fear of people making fun of my art or my " weird " interests. School is really helping since I've been bullied in the past and now I'm paranoid of people talking behind my back. It feels like I have to constantly put up a mask in front of everyone and to never talk about the things I like in fear of being called " cringy "
I know tiktok and other social medias are slowly acknowledging and accepting the " weird kids " but even so , people are being accepting to each other through the internet. It doesn't feel the same in real life.
Small vent aside , I made these drawings so that I can learn to love being myself and to ignore everyone who makes fun of me for being weird. Cringe culture is dead after all X3
I was a huge fan of mario growing up but now that I'm older , I've leaned more into liking Sonic. He's so cool ! He has super speed , a super sonic form ( MULTIPLE MIGHT I ADD!!! ) and he has rizzed , not one , not two , but FOUR GIRLS ! Including Amy ! Mario can barely get one girl !
*ahem anyways
I wanted to draw me in five sonic forms. Original/super sonic , dark sonic , hyper sonic and fleetway sonic. The fifth form is werewolf sonic from Sonic Unleashed but that will be posted separately since I've already made drawings in the past regarding this. Og followers will know what I'm talking about. If your confused about what the frick I'm talking about then look in my first Gacha World book. One of those chapters should be about Maia Unleashed.
The first drawing was trying to imitate 2000's energy as well as one of my favorite sonic games Sonic Adventure 2. The checkered background was a pain to do and hopefully you can see the tiny details I added without the background overwhelming it.

So I left her left eye blank and the right eye normal so that it looked like light was revealing her shadowy body. When she uses her powers , her eyes turn white like Dark Sonic's.

When I finished the drawing I kinda disliked it but if I choose to draw more Dark Maia than I'll add more to her design.
Next , we have hyper sonic. I REALLY dislike how there isn't much detail but like Dark Maia's drawing , I'll make another one and add more detail. The previous drawings were from part 1 of my 2023 sketchbook but Hyper Maia is in my 2023 pt 2/2024 sketchbook. I tried copying the pose of Hyper Sonic and I think it was pretty successful ^_^

The outline took FOREVER to do since it was drawn with color pencil but the rainbow outline added some pop to a blank background. It was after I colored the gems did I realize there was some major flaws with the drawing. I won't say them to not ruin your enjoyment but it will forever haunt me until I make another , better drawing of her :')
Fleetway and Werewolf Maia are still under development but these are my sonic/Maia drawings. Should I make this a AU ? If this becomes a AU then I'm gonna see if anyone wants to be drawn as a specific character. Letting you know right off the bat , Villain Maia is already Shadow
