Ronnie is 22 years old, Gabby had gotten a new boyfriend but he was nothing like Jack, he was kind, charming, well-mannered, hard working and a very nice gentleman
His name is Kai, and he is very wealthy and he treated Lucy and Mateo as his own, he helped pay rent and always paid the bills and payed for clothes and groceries for everyone
Kai never laid a hand on gabby or Ronnie he was truly a gentleman he came around a few weeks after Coles death
Kai knew Cole, he was his the one who gave Cole a job when he was in New York city

Narrative POV:
It's been five hours since Cole's death, it was 7 am and Ronnie still had to still tell the others
So she called them all to her house and told them the news
Ronnie makeup was smeared, her eyes were blood red from crying and from not getting any sleep the whole night
“Ronnie what's wrong you really scared us” lila said
“Where's Cole?” Alex asked
“Cole…Cole is dead” Ronnie trembled as her voice began to break
“WHAT!?” Lila shouted
Then everyone's eyes began to water
“Wait..wait…slow down what happened!? RONNIE TELL US WHAT HAPPENED!?” Emmett yelled
Emmett and Cole were the closest, so emmett hearing about Cole it was like a piece of emmett died along with cole
Ronnie broke down crying she couldn't keep the pain in anymore
“He was shot! The cops killed him! They shot him!” Ronnie cried out then lila broke down crying and hugged Ronnie tight
Dream hugged bones as they broke down
Alex sat on the floor and cried quietly
Emmett walked outside, feeling angry, upset, sad, depressed
“NICHOLAS!!!” Emmett screamed out in pain
Everyone felt that and broke down even more
That night everyone went to the park where Cole and Cindy died they just all sat there and talked, cried, mourned Ronnie had so much guilt in her, she regretted being mad at Cole, she wished she had cherished the time she had with him
(PRESENT)
Ronnie had really changed she wasn't the same old Ronnie anymore she was very depressed, unhappy, crazy sarcastic but not in a good way
Ronnie dyed her hair a copper red color, she got tattoos, she quit her old jobs and got an assistant job for a fancy brand company
Ronnie got four tattoos about Cindy and Cole
Two tattoo were about Cole,
one had Cole’s Initials, and the other one had the year he was born and the year he died then the other ones had Cindy initials and the year she was born and the year she died
It was 9:30 pm and Ronnie had gotten off work
“Oh great I forgot to put gas in the car” Ronnie mumbled
When Cole died he wrote in his will a few years before that he leaves everything to Ronnie and his mom they both get 50/50
Cole had wrote a will when he moved to New York, NY city was way crazier than Chicago and he never knew when it was going to be his time
So Ronnie got Cole's car, which was a Mercedes-Benz, his house in New York, and about 80 grand of his money
But Ronnie still kept working so she could keep working so she could earn more money, Ronnie also went back to school, got her GED and graduated and earned a diploma and she got a masters and bachelor degree in business class, fashion designs and cosmetics
Ronnie had a deep passion for fashion and makeup
Ronnie took good care of Cole’s car she left everything where it was when Cole died, she never touched anything in the glove compartment
Lucy is now 10 and mateo is 13, they moved back home after Ronnie’s grandmother moved back to Mexico, Ronnie’s grandmother missed her family and felt like it was time to leave Chicago
“Hey Kai?” Ronnie said confused
“Hi Veronica, I know you weren't expecting to see me here but I decided to stay for the night, are you hungry? I ordered dinner” Kai explained
“Yeah thanks, where is Mateo and lucy?”
“They’re in their rooms watching TV”
“Okay, where is mom?” Ronnie asked
“At work I think”
My mom worked all the time it was very rare if I saw her, Gabby became the official manager of the bar she was working at so she was always gone
After awhile dinner finally arrived, and then gabby came home and joined them, they all talked and hanged out
Ronnie and her mom still weren't on good terms but they made it work
Ronnie wanted to get her own place but she didn't want to leave mateo and lucy and she knows that her mother wouldn't allow Ronnie to leave with the kids
After Cole's death the whole group kinda went their own way but they all were still close, emmett and dream got married at 19 and 17
Alex and bones were the new assistant managers of the car garage
And lila was also a manager of the diner
They all still talked and hanged out but no matter what they were still a family
(Next morning)
Narrative POV:
Next morning Ronnie got up and got ready for work
Ronnie put her hair in a slick bun, she wore a black turtleneck with dressy pants, heel boots and wore a long black leather jacket
She got into her car and went to the gas station, Ronnie went inside, paid for gas and bought a cup of coffee
As ronnie was leaving the store she was walking towards her car and then a man stopped her
“Hey pretty lady, how are ya?” the man asked
“I'm good, excuse me please I have to get going” ronnie said kindly
“To a fancy stressful job right?” Then Ronnie looked at the man with a confused look on her face “look i've met people like you, and you just can't seem to catch a break so here, you look like you could use it” then the man hold a bag of cocaine in his hand
“No I don't do drugs” ronnie said
“Come on, you know you need the rush and I can see it in you, you just wanna feel numb”
Deep down Ronnie knew that he was right she did wanna feel numb
“How much?” Ronnie asked
“I don't know, 100$?”
Ronnie got a 100$ bill out of her wallet, gave it to the man
“Here's my number, call me anytime” then the man walked away, Ronnie got into her car and went straight to work, she parked into a huge car garage
Before Ronnie went inside she snorted up some coke and then went inside
After 30 minutes the cocaine finally hit Ronnie, she was in her office and felt so anxiously relaxed
She felt scared but also felt zoned out, then out of nowhere she heard Cole’s voice
“Baby” Cole said quietly
“Cole?” then Ronnie's eyes began to water
“Hi, miss me?” Cole asked, Ronnie nodded her head and she just looked at Cole not wanting it to end
Ronnie knew now that there was no going back
(COUPLE HOURS LATER)
It was 10:30pm and Ronnie got home, everyone was asleep, Ronnie quickly raced to her room and snorted up more coke
She couldn't get enough, she wanted to feel numb she also wanted to see Cole again
Ronnie contact the man from the gas station
(THE TEXT)
Ronnie: Hey this is the lady from the gas station, I bought coke from you
The man: Yeah I remember you, I'm patrick
Ronnie: I'm Ronnie, I'm texting you cause I was wondering what else you got?
Patrick: I got all kinds of stuff and it's not the weak soggy crap, it's strong and fresh
Ronnie: well I need to buy some more
Patrick: okay meet me at the same gas station tomorrow afternoon
Ronnie: okay see you then
