Part - 12
"What are you saying, Mom?" Y/N asked, stuttering. "Did you forget the day when you saved someone?" Mrs. Jeon asked, Y/N's eyes widening as she released everything. Her hands clenched around Mrs. Jeon's hand. "He was Jungkook's?" Y/N asked, still confirming, and Mrs. Jeon nodded her head. "I really want to tell you, and I'm so thankful to you; you saved my son," Mrs. Jeon said. Y/N immediately hugged her to make her calm. "It's okay, Mom," Y/N said, calming her, though her hands still trembled in place.
She never thought about this. At that time, she couldn't see the person's face because of the rain, and his face was covered with blood. "Mom, can I be alone? I need time," Y/N asked. "Listen, sweetie, I hope you're not angry with us," Mrs. Jeon said in a panic. "No, I'm not angry. It just feels weird," Y/N said, looking down. "Okay," Mrs. Jeon said before pecking her forehead and went outside, leaving her alone.
Meanwhile, Jungkook patiently waited for Y/N to show herself until he saw his mother coming from the room, but Y/N didn't. "Why, Mom, come alone?" Jungkook said and excused himself to see his petal. When he opened the door, he saw Y/N standing at the window, staring at the moon. His steps halted, and she looked breathtaking under the moonlight, fresh air hitting her face. He quietly shut the door and went toward her, hugging her from behind. She was surprised but calmed down, knowing who it was.
"Petal, what are you doing alone?" Jungkook asked, caressing her waist. But she didn't respond to him, which made him restless. He turned to look at her face. His breath got stuck seeing the tears in her eyes. "Petal, did something happen? Did someone say something to you? Why are you crying? Did I make you upset? Please tell me," Jungkook asked carefully, checking her eyes. Meanwhile, Y/N's eyes only stared at him. "Jungkook," Y/N whispered, and he looked at her.
"Yes, petal?" Jungkook asked. "Tell me the truth," Y/N asked. Jungkook looked confused, "What truth?" he asked. "Are you the same person whom I met two years back in the middle of the road when I found you with your broken car?" Y/N asked. Jungkook looked down, "Yes," he said and looked at her.
"Do you love me because I saved you, that's why?" Y/N asked before she reacted. Jungkook pinned her to the wall; his hand caged her, and his body came close to her. He was breathing heavily and staring at Y/N angrily, which she saw for the first time. "Don't ever say that," Jungkook said, gritting his teeth.
"How dare you compare my love! Didn't I tell you, petal, no one means no one in the world can say anything about love, nor even you? I never fell in love with you because you saved me, but I fell in love with you because I see my world. My world, seen in your eyes, the future I was waiting for melted because of your inner beauty. I found my peace inside you; I found comfort and a life partner inside you. You can't imagine how much I'm crazy over you. I don't know, but you disappointed me so much. I never thought you would see my love as weak just because you saved me. That doesn't mean I will give anyone my heart. You were special; that's why I gave it to you," Jungkook said, Y/N's eyes tearing, thinking she failed.
"Jungkook," she stuttered and was going to hold his hand until Jungkook yanked away and went out of the room, leaving her alone. He was angry and frustrated, thinking he failed to protect the trust between them. No matter what he does, Y/N can't seem to trust him. Meanwhile, Y/N hid her face and started to cry until she heard a voice saying, "You are so stupid." She looked up to see Mia standing, arms folded across her chest, and looking at Y/N. "Mia," Y/N said, wiping her tears as Mia entered the room.
"Why do you doubt his love? I know I'm not the one who should interfere, but don't forget, Y/N, he's the same person who rejected me many times just for you. He's the same person who found you at night," Mia said.
