Just a picture

FLASHBACK - Addie's POV

Kat was having a party. At the new girls house. Kat, Hannah, Clay and I all gathered out the front. Kat was my best friend and she was moving away. She was also dating Justin Foley, who I had been crushing on for years. We spotted Zach Dempsey and Justin out on the front coming towards us, however, the sprinklers turned on so we ended up watching their fail attempt to wrestle each other in order to stand up. Kat was explaining how she had asked Zach to come over for Hannah, however I wasn't listening. I was watching the two boys continuously fall over each other.

'Yes, Liberty High's star athletes, ladies and gentlemen.' Kat began to clap for them. Justin stood up and faced us all. His blue eyes glared at us as he was dripping from head to toe. He took off his shirt, begging for Kat to allow him into the house. However, he turned to head home, before looking back with a slight smirk on his face. He was staring right at me. Butterflies appeared in my stomach as I tried to force them out. That was before I realized he wasn't looking at me. He never did.

Justin had gone out with Hannah once Kat left. I thought that now Kat was gone, I could have my chance. I was wrong. They went out on a date to the park. Then he sent that picture round. I thought he wasn't like that. I guess I was wrong about that too. The picture started flooding into everyone's phone. Notifications rang through our ears. I opened my phone to find a picture of Hannah sliding down a slide, her underwear showing. I stared at her in shock. I felt so bad. I knew that Justin had sent this.

I leaned over to him. 'What the fuck, Justin?' I whispered. He just shrugged, showing no remorse whatsoever. I looked over at Hannah. She had her head down and tears pouring from her eyes. I never knew what to say in these situations. I couldn't ask if she was okay, because it was obvious she wasn't.

The bell rang, snapping me out of my thoughts. My gaze trailed over to Justin, who was quieter than usual. He let out an occasional smirk at  one of Zach's comments, but that was it. I silently followed the two to the cafeteria, were we all ate lunch together. I wasn't in the mood to be talking to either of them. I sat down next to Bryce, who offered me a packet of chips. I declined as I continued to glare at Justin.

'What?' He muttered as he began to grow uncomfortable.

'How could you send that round?' My eyes narrowed as again, he just shrugged. Bryce clasped his hands on both my shoulders.

'Come on, Ads. Don't blame Justy. Besides, it's just a picture. Nothing too bad.' I nodded a little, not wanting to take the matter further. Maybe Bryce was right. Maybe it was just a picture
