The Arcandox

Chapter Eight

Derrick and Isabella appeared in an abandoned house as the portal took them there but Derrick was not relaxed as he said

"We have to leave now!"

"But we only just got here and you're in pretty bad shape, the sentinat you were poisoned with is still in your system and it's countering your super healing abilities, we have to find the antidote immediately"

"You don't understand, portals can be tracked and am sure they're not far behind, we have to go now!"

"Okay okay let's got"

Isabella said as she tried to open up a portal but Derrick took off her Portalis and used his sword to hit it in a way that it'll be unstable and explode

He then opened up a portal with his Portalis and he and Isabella jumped into it and as they left, a portal opened up and some of Andrew's associates walked through it and as they wanted to track Derrick's portal with an ancient device used for tracking portals

Isabella's Portalis exploded and a huge portal opened up and sucked everything in before it closed and destroyed everything else in it's surroundings

Derrick and Isabella appeared in a cabin that was located in a rain forest as Derrick sat on a chair as he was extremely weak from the effects of the Sentinat

Isabella went out to get some flowers, leaves and herbs and few minutes later, she came back and made a potion by combining all that she collected and used a little lightning bolts to put some magic in it although all she did was blast lightning on her potion but the types of flowers, leaves and herbs she collected had some magical properties in them that needed to be unlocked and absorb a little magic

She gave it to Derrick who hesitated for a moment but drank it and then suddenly he went unconscious and after a while he woke up and found himself lying down on a bed in the cabin with Isabella sitting right next to him

"Are you okay? You were out for a while"

She asked as soon as he woke up

"What did you give to me?"

"Oh I made a potion to counter the effects of the Sentinat in your system, although it couldn't fully heal you, it gave your body the chance to heal itself so your full recovery depends on your super healing abilities now"

"Why are you helping me?"

"What you need now is a little bit of rest and then you'll get better, don't stress yourself that much"

"I have to find the Arcandox"

"The Arcandox can wait, for now you need to rest"

Isabella said as she insisted that Derrick should have some more rest and he later gave in and when back to sleep.

Dennis was helping out some people stuck in a cave when suddenly some Mensaurs showed up and tried to kill everyone but Dennis fought against them

As she blasted one of them with a lightning bolt and then she drew out her sword and as one of them tried to punch her she dodged but couldn't dodge it's second hand as she was hit and she flew backwards

The Mensaurs started going towards the people that Dennis was helping and just as they were going to kill those people, Dennis showed up and stabbed one of them from behind

And then as they tried to attack her, she used her enhanced speed to evade all their attacks as she was killing them off using her skills and coordinated attacks

The Mensaurs were more bigger than her in size but he was faster and she used that to her advantage as she jumped right in the air and decapitated one of them instantly
