Gon POV

The room was bathed in the soft glow of a solitary lamp, its warm light flickering across the aged wooden floor. I stood amidst a collection of relics from past quests, each one whispering tales of adventures long gone. My attention, however, was drawn to a weathered photograph that stood on my bedside-a snapshot frozen in time, capturing the essence of a bygone era.

'It's been a while...' My fingers traced the edges of the photograph.

In the image, I stood shoulder to shoulder with my dear friends, Kurapika, Leorio, Killua and Rin. The group of Hunters, young and full of life, smiled back at me from the frame. Rin's black hair cascaded like a midnight waterfall, framing a face that held both passion and kindness in equal measure. Her eyes, pools of endless depth, seemed to gaze directly into my soul. I couldn't help but feel a pang of longing and loss as my gaze lingered on her, the black-haired girl who had stolen my heart.

'...Rin.'

Rin, the one whose absence echoed in every corner of my being. Years had passed since she left this world, yet the ache of her departure persisted. The photograph became a window to the past, a time when laughter flowed freely, and dreams were woven into the fabric of our shared existence.

I found myself lost in memories. The way Rin's laughter had filled the air, the shared glances that spoke volumes without a single word. She was the heartbeat of our group, the force that propelled us forward. And now, as I stood on the precipice of a new adventure, I couldn't escape the weight of the promise I made to myself.

.

"Rin's dream... I'll be sure to fulfill it!"

.

As I prepared for the journey ahead, the room seemed to pulse with a sense of anticipation. I tore my gaze away from the photograph, a determined glint in my eye as I now held the Four-Star Dragon Ball.

The orange crystalline ball pulsed gently in my hand, its warm glow casting a soft radiance across my fingers. As I held the artifact, a surge of determination coursed through me, fueled by the memories of Rin and the promise I had made to fulfill her unfulfilled dreams. The vibrant hue of the crystal seemed to mirror the fiery resolve that burned in my eyes.

With a silent vow, I clenched the crystalline ball tighter, as if absorbing its energy and drawing strength from it. The journey to find the rest of the Dragon Balls becomes a sacred mission, a testament to the unyielding force of a promise made in the face of loss.

"Rin, this one's for you," I whispered.
