Chapter 1: A Chance Encounter
Thirteen-year-old Celia ventured into the unfamiliar halls of Oakridge High School, her heart beating a little faster with each step. Among the throngs of students, a boy named Adam caught her eye. With a warm smile, he approached Celia.
"Hey, I'm Adam," he introduced himself, breaking the initial tension. Celia felt a spark of comfort at his friendly gesture. As they conversed, Adam's easygoing nature and genuine interest in getting to know her put her nerves at ease.
Throughout the day, Adam made an effort to include Celia, introducing her to classmates and making her feel less like an outsider. By the end of the school day, Celia found herself feeling grateful for Adam's kindness. His friendly approach made her believe that perhaps this new school wouldn't be as daunting as she initially thought, all thanks to the unexpected camaraderie with Adam.
