"bye!" kiara gives her dad one more hug before finally shutting the door, leaving her, matt, and her mother in the house.
her mom looks at matt, who cant stop looking at kiara. when her mom addresses his name, he quickly reverts his attention to her instead. "matt, thank you for doing this for kiara." her mom thanks, giving him a hug.
he returns the hug, "you already know i'll do anything for her." he affirms, glancing at kiara who obviously tries to hide her smile
her mom smiles, "i know," she begins walking away from the door, going to the living room and starting to clean.
kiara looks at matt, now smiling freely and not trying to cover it. "such a corny kid," she teases, acting like his words are affecting her less than they actually are. in reality, everything positive he says about her wakes up all the little critters in her stomach and allows them to dance.
matt laughs, building up the confidence to ask what he wanted to ask an hour ago. "hey, uh, was that true?" he catches her attention, lacking detail because he knows she'll know what he means.
