TODAY WAS halloween, and Jax had planned to dress up as Daniel LaRusso. He didn't want to ruin the white gi, so he decided he wasn't going to dress up at school. Even though he wasn't in the Ghostbusters club like the rest of the party, Jax was scared he would upset his friends.

Mike was the one that would take it most to heart, which finalized Jax's decision. He was going to save his costume for tonight.

Instead, Jaxon put on a pair of jeans and a red baseball shirt with a leather jacket on top. He prayed that he wasn't the only one not dressed up, as he might look stupid.

Luckily, his father wasn't there when he woke up that morning, so Jax had the luxury of biking to school without rush. He liked the soothing breeze through his hair and the sound of the cars idling. It all put him at peace. No craziness, no loud noise, just him and his mind.

As Jax pulled up on his bike, he had noticed his four friends dressed up as The Ghostbusters. They did look really cool, except for some reason, this year no one else had dressed up. After he locked up his bike, Jax laughed to himself as he stood next to Dustin and listened to the boys argue.

"-and he's not even a scientist!" Lucas concluded his reasons of why no one would want to be Winston. Both him and Mike had showed up with 'Venkman' sown on their name tag.

"Okay, but he's still cool!" Mike reasoned, obviously upset that Lucas had ruined their plan.

"If he's cool, then you be Winston."

"I- I can't.."

"Why not?"

"B-because...b-"

"B-b-b-because you're not black?!" Lucas mocked, which caused Jax to bust a gut laughing, placing a hand on Will's shoulder for support. The smaller boy smiled at Jax and stifled a laugh.

"I didn't say that!"

"You thought it!"

Mike and Lucas continued to argue until Dustin looked around and realized.

"Guys.... guys... GUYS! Why is no one
wearing costumes?"

Jaxon's eyes widened at the kids around them. He had coincidentally chosen the safe route this morning by wearing his normal clothes. This meant his friends were the only four dressed up at school today.

"Oh, shit.."

"Okay, whats the plan?" Jaxon had asked Lucas and Dustin for the third time that hour, as they all walked put of Math class together. They planned on asking her to trick or treat with them, since she had evidently sparked everyone's (beside Mike) interest.

"We're gonna introduce ourselves, but cool-like." Lucas answered, looking at Dustin for confirmation, so just smiled at him. "Then, we'll pop the question and become her first friends here."

"Hopefully her only friends." Dustin added, nodding to himself. The three boys looked down the hall at the red head's locker, which was inching closer and closer every step.

Max was just eager to get out of school, and she was totally ignoring the trio for a moment. Jax wanted to just take the hint and walk away, but Lucas had already grabbed his arm incase he tried anything. Totally oblivious to the scene beside him, Dustin cleared his throat, gaining the redheads attention.

"Hi, Max. Im Dustin. This is-"

"Lucas." The brown boy spoke for himself, seemingly want to stand out to Max.
