A/n: Alright, I have a lot I need to tie up for the Arc/Story I was mingling into the franchise.
Sure I could continue with editing the RTTE series as a whole, but that's far to repetitive for me to be doing. From script editing and watching and rewatching episodes, I don't intend to be doing that time consuming process for every episode.
So, instead, although probably not the best decision on my behalf, I'm blasting out most of the fifth season and probably cutting down the sixth season as well.
Reasons being is I need to finish going through the RTTE storyline while completing the story I had in mind.
That said, I'll probably be changing a bit about the storyline from RTTE for timeline reasons as well.
Also there will be more of you and Hiccup threwout the rest of the book.
And apologies that I may be rushing some bits as well.
Anyways, apologies in advance for slower updates as I have been burnt out and haven't had a strong desire to continue writing on the HTTYD franchise.

Y/n did go back to The Edge, and had immediately went to making her own space with D/n's help. It was more of a show of her own independence, and her trying to express it by doing these task by herself. That wasn't to say she didn't let others help her. Astrid and Liu had scouted a spot near the base for her. Hiccup had helped in over looking the blueprints. The twins and Snoutlout were helpful in getting her supplies. And then her brothers had aided in setting the bone structure of the hut for her.

They did help, but they felt they helped little, especially as Y/n started on the walls and floors. It was evident though that Y/n was clinging to what independence she had while she was alone. They gave her space and let her come to them. They let her set the pace and Y/n recognized it, but she also recognized when she was needed for something. She knew that some of the times she was 'needed', it was just Hiccup wanting an excuse to talk to her.

That being said, she did end up cooking them all a hearty meal as she told them of what she had done during her time away. She made sure to sit between Ashaw and Hiccup as Liu sat between Hiccup and Astrid. Between hearing that Y/n learned the ends and outs of the market and the island itself, she had also held warning that Lillian's people had been visiting more and more. What really caught everyone off gaurd was that Lillian's people were with dragon hunters, all searching for something. This news alone had Ares informing the riders that he would be a letter away if they ever did need him.

Salem, Cherry, and Odyessues had left with him, all wanting to protect their home. Ashaw, Demetrius, Blythe, and Liu had decided to stay on The Edge as extra hands. Demetrius took to learning basic healing and other aspects of healing, but still kept to taking watching or scouting with either Liu or Atlas. Sometimes even Blythe as her keen ears keeper up on even the subtle things. Ashaw had started taking to scouting with Y/n, or alone. But if he wasn't scouting, he honed his skills with every weaponry and aidding Hiccup however else he could.

Daymos had taken to the seas, and had expressed if Hiccup wanted to change the contract, he needed to do it soon. Between the new dragon hunters, Lillian's trades moving inward, Savage's disruption at the Berserker's celebration, meeting the wing maidens, the trip to and from Vanaheim, and Fishlegs identity as Thor Bonecrusher resurfacing to find entail, Hiccup had been struggling with what to do going forward. It certain didn't help that Lillian's ships had been traveling closely with the hunters ships. The fleets were much larger now. Then there was the contract.

Hiccup sighed heavily as he leaned over his desk. There was so much, and it was overwhelming him. Toothless rumbling in his sleep, the crackling fireplace, and the rain that was softly hitting the rooftop of his hut was soothing. It wasn't until Hiccup heard his hut door open did he straight up. Looking to the doorway he found Y/n, soaked.

"Thor, you're all soaked," Hiccup quickly went to find a blanket to dry her with. "What are doing here?"

Y/n smiled lightly as Hiccup passed her the blanket. Drying her hair carefully, Y/n spoke softly.
