No One's POV

"I know about the baby Morgan. And about exactly how long you've originally been cheating." Y/n had a straight face waiting in anticipation for Morgan's answer. But the look of mortification on his face said enough.

"Why Morgan? Was I not enough?" Y/n put her hand to her chest a way to point at herself but also a way to comfort herself from the growing pain in her chest. "It's like I was broken up with all over again." She continued. Her eyes threatened to drop the tears, brimming her eyes.

"I-I... I don't know..." Morgan was speechless. It was as if he was a child, hand caught inside a cookie jar. He knew he needed Y/n's stability. That was why he ran to a familiar face after finding a pregnancy test in his girlfriend's bathroom.

It was out of fear.

He was a coward.

"N/n (Nickname), please. You have to understand. I still -"

"Don't." Y/n held her hand up to his face. "Don't you dare say it. Because you don't mean it. We both know that." Y/n turned around abruptly and walked straight to her room, locking the door.

Law stood quietly, observing the situation. He knew he had no right to interrupt their conversation. Y/n needed to cut her last ties with Morgan, and he knew that, but that didn't stop him from still wanting to cut him in half with his Kikoku.

Instead, he followed Y/n softly knocking at her door. "Y/n? Do you need someone to talk to?" He said, "No." Her voice was soft like the hum of wind, but the strain was relevant in her voice. Law scrunched his brows together. "Do... do you need someone to hug?" Law was hesitant. He was never really the hugging buddy type, but... Y/n really needed it.

There was a brief pause. On the other side of the door, Y/n was contemplating whether to let Law in or just cry alone in her room. She was hurt like a knife that Morgan left in her chest was twisted to cause her to bleed more. With sight hesitation, she got up from under her covers to the door and opened it. Law was there already having his arms open.

Y/n wrapped her hands around Law's waist as he held her back with one hand while the other stroked her hair. "It's okay, it's okay. I'm here." Law glared at Morgan, whose face was furious.

But... it was odd to see. The strong woman he knew before was now ready to cry in this man's arms. Before, when they were together, Morgan never once saw Y/n cry she always had a serious face or a half smile. But it never really felt warm.

Seeing her show so much... emotions. Was a shock.

For some unknown reason, her distress in another man's arms made Morgan clench his fists as they turned white with the strength of his grip.

"Y/n. This isn't like you." Morgan's voice was laced with obvious jealousy and envy."You weren't like this before. You always knew what to do, held your head up high, and never cried in front of anyone..." Morgan's brows scrunched together. "... so what's so, why are you like this now?"

Y/n looked towards Morgan with streaks of tears down her face. He flinched, seeing her like this, but after a hic and clearing her throat, Y/n spoke.

"Morgan. You do understand I'm human, right? I have emotions, too. I cry, I get scared, and I have problems. Just like you. I'm not a robot that is void of emotions. Though sometimes I really wish I was. Then maybe when you left me... I wouldn't have been so hurt and heartbroken." She paused for a second. "...I was shattered, Morgan. But I picked up my broken pieces, it was hard to put myself together but making friends and meeting Law... it helped me..." she softly looked up to Law. "No matter how messy the situation, they arrived into my life."

Morgan was shell-shocked. He'd seen her look at him like that before. But now... now it was to someone else. "Why choose him? I was with you longer. We basically grew up together! So let's just get back together, N/n." Morgan was desperate. He didn't want to deal with the woman he got pregnant. She was pretty, yeah, but she annoyed the living crap out of him when she said she wanted to keep the baby.

Y/n shook her head. "Back then... when I was alone, maybe I would have taken you back... back when we were together... I felt like I knew you through and through, but look what happened. You cheated Morgan. You were clearly unhappy in our relationship. So it's best we stay separated. As for why I'm with Him," Y/n pointed to Law with her thumb "Because I want to." She smiled mischievously.

It was an open-ended answer open to what Morgan wanted to think. But he fumed.

Y/n's POV

I stepped away from Law now calm from my earlier crying fit. He really felt like my lifeline at this point. Law was slowly becoming my oxygen. And it was hard to breathe without him.

"Morgan, I think you should go back to her. Take responsibility for once in your life. Merry her, and have a good life with your child. Be present as a father. You know you should." I knew the right thing was to convince Morgan to go back to his new girlfriend. He needed to grow up and actually become a father to his soon-to-be child.

Morgan clenched his hand but eventually released. "Okay." He said

My eyes softened to Morgan. Finally, he was doing the right thing. "You'll be a good dad." I smiled

I couldn't understand his reaction in the end. Maybe he was wrong when he said that we knew each other so well. Because this was something I wouldn't have seen in a thousand years. Morgan... a father.

Morgan grabbed his stuff off the floor and called his girlfriend again to say he was coming home.

He kissed my cheek goodbye, and he left.

I watched him fade away as Law wiped my face. "What are you doing, Law?" I said

"He has his germs on you. I needed to clean it off your cheek." He said plainly

I smiled. 'It's funny seeing him this way'
