Rei stares ahead and I look over, joining him in staring at whatever he is staring at.
A man enters the room, looking dashing. He is quite young looking and handsome. He has cold looking eyes though, but at least it has a bossy feel to it.
The man stops in front of us, adjusting his red tie a bit. "Hello, my name is Allen Okabe and I'm your new CEO. I'm Japanese American. Yes, I am half white." He looks fully Asian to me. I wouldn't have been able to tell.
"It is nice to meet you," Rei says to him, holding out his hand to Allen. "I'm ReiOkamoto."
Allen takes his hand and shakes if firmly, eyes going over to me. "And you're Mari Snow, correct?" I nod my head. "It is a pleasure to meet you two here at this branch of our company, Halo Horizons."
He pulls his hand back and he holds it out towards me. I take it slowly and shake it gently, forcing a smile onto my face. I'm not sure how to feel about this new boss of ours. Should I trust him with handling our activities here?
He releases my hand and smiles. "It is an honor to be here in Japan."
"Is it now?" Rei is probably grinning. "Mari is our Kamen Rider here. She's assisting Hiden Intelligence in anything they need help with."
"Is she now?" Allen smiles, looking me over. "She seems tough."
"I am the Kamen Rider, sir," I state. "I am doing my best in handling the situation we have here. The HumaGear crisis is being addressed by us and two others. A.I.M.S. and Hiden Intelligence have provided great support to us."
"So, the military dogs are being useful?" He chuckles. "Sorry, terrible joke."
"It is fine," Rei replies, laughing a little.
"Yeah." I nod.
It has been days since I've seen Horobi and Jin. Nothing really has been going on since the last time something happened, which was a few days ago. A magia attacked and I fought it along with the others.
"We got a new system for you to use from now on, Mari. It needs a bit of testing to make sure that it works, but I'm sure that it'll work just fine for you. It may have its kinks after the first time you use it," Allen tells me, informing me of a new weapon to use. When did they develop something?
"Oh, we do?" I didn't know about this.
"We have something new? How come we weren't told about this?" Rei asks.
Allen looks away. "It probably has to do with the fact that Halo Horizons didn't oversee it that much before I took over. However, they did assist in making it." He looks back at us. "It is called the Abyss Core Nexus. However, it just Abyss for short. The makeup of it comes from a rare gem that came from outer space. But that is just alleged." So, it is possibly made out of a space gem? Interesting.
