Chapter Five

POV: Kyle
After I ate I got back to my room and got ready for bed. I'll spend most of the days with my friends tomorrow.

~·next morning·~

"Hey mom, I'm leaving now" I said as I walked out the door. I walked to my friend Alex's house, she lived across the street from me so I didn't have to walk that far. I knocked on the door and Alex quickly opened it. "Hi Kyle!" She said hugging me. "Hey Alex" I said hugging back. We let go of each other and went to go get our other friends.

~·Another time skip·~

I got home at around eleven that night and my mom got mad. "Kyle, I said you can go hang out with your friends but not this late! You can't go outside anymore" she said. "But tomorrow is my last day here" I protested. "You're the one who stayed out too late, if you would've come home earlier you would still be allowed to go out. Just go to your room" she said. I did as told, not wanting to get into more trouble. I got in my room and I got ready for bed. A few minutes later I got in bed and was about to sleep but then I got a text message.

Alex: hey Kyle
Kyle: hi! I have bad news...
Alex: what is it??
Kyle: tomorrow is my last day here
Alex: does that mean you're moving??
Kyle: yes..
Alex: we should all hang out tomorrow again
Kyle: I can't, I got in trouble for coming home late
Alex: it's my fault isn't it? I made you walk me home last night.
Kyle: You live across the street, it isn't your fault, don't worry about it.
Alex: okay, I'll tell the others and we'll meet you before you leave.
Kyle: okay

I put my phone down for a second and I drifted off to sleep.

Yesterday was so boring, I was at home all day helping my mom finish up packing." Mom, where do you want this box?" I asked. "Leave it on the porch, we're leaving soon so help me bring all the boxes there" she said. "Okay" I said putting the box on the porch. "Hey mom do you know what time we're leaving?" I asked." In about twenty minutes" she said carrying some boxes outside. "Okay" I said getting my phone out and texting Alex.

Kyle: I'm leaving in about twenty minutes
Alex: we'll be there

Twenty minutes passed by and my friends weren't here yet, I guess they don't care.... "KYLE" I heard someone scream, "we're sorry we're late" I heard another voice say. "You guys are still on time" I said with a smile. "Kyle let's go" My mom said. "Just on time for one last hug" I said and we had a group hug. "I'll miss you guys" I said waving goodbye to them. "Come and visit sometimes" Alex said and they walked away. I got in my car and we drove away, I watched as my friends got farther away.
