the next day walker takes you out to pick something's you'll like for your birthday. he wanted to treat you right since yesterday didn't go so well.

"let's go get ice cream!!" he suggests

"okie dokie."

you guys walks to the ice cream place close to you, "ari, do you remember the first time we met?"

"well, i remember i first talked you on a zoom call. then i met you during rehearsals."

"okay.. if i tell you this you can't make fun of me for it."

"no promises, bud." you laugh

"so, when we started filming the adam project i had a huge crush on you." he admits

"i'm just kidding! not gonna lie i felt the same way. but then you got a girlfriend and i was like okay.. what the heck."

he takes out his hand for you to hold so you don't lose each other in the ice cream shop.

"i did like aly to be honest but she always rushed things. i just wanted it to be you."

"i wish it was me. walker, i felt like it was so hard to get your attention sometimes. it was like everybody wants you."

"we should've told each other how we felt before. all those interviews and people saying we'd make a good couple, they were all ahead of us." he laughs

you pick out your flavors for the ice cream and he hands you it then pays for it .

"i was just scared of rejection."

"me too. sometimes i was so tempted to just tell you." he explains while holding your hand and leaving the shop

he check his watch and realizes it's time for you guys to head back, "it's time. we gotta go." walker tells you

"time for what?" you ask, confused

"oh, good. you already forgot. i'm not telling you though, you'll just have to see for yourself."

he walks you home and when you get there, he lets you walk in first, "surprise!!" all your friends say popping out of different places

"a surprise party! walker, did you plan this?"

"i did."

before he says anything else you pull him into a kiss. "by that.. i'm assuming you like it." he smirks

"i love it. thank you so much." you say, hugging him

he lets you go thank everyone else and hangout with your friends. he also talks to his friends but the whole time he's really just looking at you.

he stares at you just like the way percy stares at annabeth.
