For once in a very long time, She was happy.
She leaned her head on his shoulder And closed her eyes.
She pictured his big smile.
She imagined him softly
Squeezing her hand every time
He was anxious about something.
She played out his contagious laugh.
She smiled to herself.
And she had him all right here and forever.
But it was all in her mind.
When she opened her eyes, She looked to the side And saw nothing
As a tear flew down her cheek.
