Second P.O.V

Once Oh got over his tantrum you were finally able to leave the car. He lead you through the shopping center and through various clothing stores where neither of you picked out anything.

Oh went on about how you need proper clothing and how cold it's getting, but then he started complaining about the lack of money... He even wanted to tell you to get a job to help out but he cut himself off halfway, realizing how careless that would be regarding your relationship dynamic...

Then you ventured into the classic food store. He grabbed a small basket and handed it to you.
"You carry it." He just simply said and lead the way.

He seemed to head towards a specific direction: the frozen foods aisle.
He picked out some frozen ready meals and porridge, so he could put minimal effort into making meals. The idea of eating that everyday twisted your stomach in uncomfortable ways...

"Hey... Can we get some ingredients? I'm not a fan of premade food.." you inquired. A little voice shortly appeared in your head though.
Manipulate him.
"... Also I'd love to cook something for you."

He seemed unfazed by the first sentence but when you added that last one he seemed to like that idea.
"Anything in mind?" He asked, turning away from the chilled meat section, which you moved a few steps to get to, in order to look at you.

You scanned the cuts of meat you saw and tried to think of the easiest recipe you remember.

Suddenly you remembered that officer Park used to make this really delicious chicken noodle soup when you and Seungbae were younger... Oh how you miss them both...
Maybe a breath of childhood will get you into a better headspace and help you ecape?

"Chicken noodle soup." You looked up at him with a slight smile.

It's very simple, tasty, warm, nutritious and doesn't require too many ingredients. It's just perfect!

Luckily for you, it was one of the foods his mom used to make on cold days when he often came back home from school.
It adored a special place in his heart.

"Sure, let's find the ingredients. Choose the cheapest ones though, I ain't ending up in the streets just because you think that I'm your sugar daddy or something." He yapped. There he goes again with the money thing...

You nodded with a hum and you two set off to find the ingredients.
You went from the veggies, to the meats, the the herbs and lastly the cash register.
The lady who served the capitalistic regime in order to keep herself alive scanned the items at her own pace which seemed to piss off Sangwoo. He impatiently tapped his foot against the floor as he stared down her hands.

Shit... He might cause a scene if you don't try to calm him down.

You reached out for his hand and held it. The warmth of his hand was quite intense, but not too intense to be unbearable.
His anger immediately subsided as he squeezed your hand a few times.

Once you put all the stuff in a bag, Sangwoo paid and you were eon your way back to the car.
But on the way there you got distracted.

You tugged on Sangwoo's sweater while looking in a specific direction. A small boba tea/coffee shop in the less populated area of the shopping center.

He looked where you were clearly motioning him to look and immediately got the idea.
"What do you want?" He asked, sounding pretty bothered.

"I haven't had anything like this in such a long time... I won't get anything expensive I promise." You said, truly missing the flavor of your comfort drink.
