New Years Eve
9:00pm
"Come on! It's just a party, you don't even have to drink or anything" a man with dark hair said tugging on a pink and blue haired man.
"But Tennie I kinda don't want to go, I just wanna go home, I can watch the ball drop at home" he said tugging his brown sweater away from the darker haired man and fixing his glasses.
"Ughhhh, fine suit yourself Taeyong, but you better go home" Taeyong nodded and walked out of the cafe into the busy street, he immediately felt the cold chilly air hit his face. His glasses fogging up instantly. He ended up deciding to take them off.
Walking towards the direction of his apartment, his mind wandered to many different places.
"Should I go buy some snacks before the stores close ?" He said to himself and soon he headed to the store.
11:00pm
As night began to fall, the stores began to close in celebration for the New Year. Taeyong who now sat in his living room was enjoying his evening his snacks all around him. He would push up his glasses occasionally and try not to smudge them with chip residue.
"Maybe I should've gone to the party with Tennie" he thought as he watched the countdown on TV. The announcers talking and introducing singers to make the time go by.
He began to wonder if he should go to the park around the block to watch fireworks. Deciding to do so he put on his lilac hoodie and some jeans, pairing it nicely with a long khaki coat for extra warmth. He made his way to his door exiting and making sure the door was locked. Descending down the stairs he was greeted by his downstairs neighbor Hanbin.
"Hi Taeyong! Going to see the fireworks?" He asked cheerfully and smiled.
Taeyong looked at his neighbor and gave him a warm smile.
"Yeah I am, are you going too?" He asked kindly.
"Sadly no, me and Hao are staying in together and watching the celebrations on TV" he replied.
Hao was Hanbin's boyfriend, they made such a cute couple, Taeyong smiled.
"Aww okay well tell Hao I said hi! You both have a Happy New Year!" Taeyong said and began his descent "Happy New Years Taeyong!" Hanbin cheered and walked into his apartment.
Walking outside Taeyong began his walk to the park, the streets seeming a bit barren but every now and then families would be out.
Arriving to the park, Taeyong noticed that there were a few people around, some with kids and some just holding hands or embraced.
Taeyong felt a little nervous being alone but he didn't let that get to him. He checked his phone and the time read 11:45pm.
"It's almost time" he whispered and was about to put his phone up when he received a message from Ten.
Tennie: Taeyongie look I found a cute guy!
Underneath there was a picture of Ten with a very tall brunette. He had a wide smile and his arm was draped around Ten.
TY: Leave it to you, to find someone on New Years Eve
He replied to Ten and put his phone up.
Looking around Taeyong noticed a man in the distance.
"Oh shoot, I forgot my glasses" he said face palming himself. He then squinted and looked in the direction of the stranger.
"I guess I'm not the only loner tonight" he whispered to himself and felt some comfort in not being the only person alone at the park tonight.
Taeyong kept sneaking glances and noticed that the man was wearing a black suit, he could see anything else, it was too dark out and his vision without his glasses wasn't the greatest. He began to feel like the man was getting closer but he couldn't really tell.
"Guys the count down is starting!" Taeyong heard someone shout and everyone began to cheer.
"10..9..8..7.."
"is that man getting closer?" He asked himself.
"4..3..2"
"Oh my" he said as he began feel the man approaching.
"Happy New Year!!" He heard everyone cheering and fireworks began to ring out.
He felt a tug on his arm and before he knew it he was pulled into someone's arms and he felt a hand caress his face before someone's lips connect with his. He froze in place.
As soon as he could react he pushed the man away, the fireworks illuminating his face, Taeyong had never seen a man like this he was almost breath taking.
The man chuckled a bit at Taeyong's surprised look, he got closer to Taeyong and as if on instinct Taeyong raised his hand and slapped the man. Turning to face Taeyong, he wiped what looked like blood off his lip.
Before he could react someone bumped into knocking Taeyong down and he saw a glint of silver that struck the unknown man on the shoulder.
The unknown man pulled the blade out and began to walk away. Taeyong didn't know what he had just witnessed.
"W-what just happened!" He exclaimed and he looked to where the unknown man walked and saw him get into a black car. Their eyes making contact.
Taeyong couldn't believe it. The man smiled before the car sped away.
