Date: The first of January, 9pm in the morning

Just after Christmas was over with all the excitement, the sun now was out and the snow was melting quite fast. It's pretty nice to have a break from killing all the time. The pizzeria actually considered letting their employees take a break from all the trouble and go enjoy themselves. How thoughtful.

Jack stands outside just in front of his house, watching the snow melt and enjoying the cooling air. Dave was sitting on a bench near by, scrolling through his phone and thinking of what to do for a new year. It's not like Jack invited Dave over, he just insisted on hanging over.

"Hey, Dave." Jack said, turning around and walking up to his partner. Dave looks up from his screen, humming in acknowledgement. "The ice is-" Before Jack could finish his words, Dave eyes gone wide with that kind of sarcastic shock and whispered. "Isis." Dave said in a low whispering tone.

Jack furrowed his brows in confusion, tucking his hands into his jacket's pocket. "No, it's ice is-"

"Isis." Dave replied almost immediately.

"Oh my God, I hate you so bad." Jack chuclked and punched Dave arms playfully. "No you don't, you love me." Dave said and looked up at Jack with a teasing smile.

Dave decided to return the favor and pulled Jack down to sit, wrapping an arm around his shoulders. Jack complied, didn't even tried to fight back.

"Happy New Year, Sportsy." Dave said and leaned his head on Jack's shoulder, smiling warmly.

"You, too." Jack chuckled coldly but snuggled closer to Dave in return.
