IT WAS A SCORCHING DAY IN COLORADO , the perfect excuse to gather with loved ones for some outdoor fun. Aria had been invited to the Walter's annual picnic day, a tradition they upheld each summer by the lake. It was a time for laughter, good food, and cherished memories in the midst of nature's beauty.

This wasn't Aria's first time joining the Walter family for a picnic. Introduced to them by her best friend Isaac, she had quickly grown to love them as if they were her own. The sheer size of the family had initially caught her attention, but it was their warmth and welcoming nature that had truly captured her heart. Each gathering with the Walters was filled with laughter, love, and a sense of belonging that Aria cherished deeply.

"Are you gonna eat that?"

Aria heard the question, and she shot her eyes open, momentarily blinded by the bright sunlight. Quickly, she raised her hand above her forehead to shield her brown eyes from the sun's glare. As her vision adjusted, she noticed Benny standing in front of her.

Aria glanced down at the half-eaten sandwich in her hand before looking back up at Benny. "Sure, you can have it," she replied with a smile, passing him the sandwich. Benny wasted no time in snatching the half-eaten sandwich from Aria's hand before darting off into the distance, his excitement evident in the way he hurried away.

Aria couldn't help but chuckle at his enthusiasm, shaking her head fondly as she watched him disappear into the crowd of family and friends enjoying the picnic by the lake.

Aria observed the bustling scene around her, noting how the entire family was engaged in various games and activities. Her attention was drawn to Isaac, who approached with a soccer ball resting on his hip. He plopped down next to her, his brow glistening with sweat from the intense game he had just played.

"I'm done playing, it's too hot," Isaac declared as he stretched out, lying down on the soft blanket beside Aria.

"That's why I'm not doing anything. It's honestly too hot to be doing anything," Aria laughed in agreement, enjoying the shade and the relaxed atmosphere.

Lee plopped down in front of Aria, and she couldn't resist the urge to playfully tease him. "Oh my God, that stench," she exclaimed, pinching her nose dramatically. It was all in good fun, a preemptive strike to ward off any potential teasing from Lee himself.

Isaac's laughter filled the air as he caught onto Aria's playful banter, but Lee's reaction was far from amused. Without a hint of humor, he grabbed the ball from Isaac and hurled it towards Aria, catching her off guard and eliciting a startled scream.

"I was just joking," Aria quickly defended herself as she recovered from the surprise.

"And you say I bother you too much?" Lee countered, his tone defensive.

"You do!" Aria shot back, Isaac's laughter mingling with Lee's irritation as they engaged in their usual banter.

The ongoing banter between Lee and Aria was a regular occurrence, often leaving Isaac amused yet occasionally exasperated. While their disagreements could be spirited, Isaac took comfort in the fact that they never resorted to physical fights. Instead, their conflicts were resolved through verbal exchanges.

"Shut the fuck up." Lee said, his tone getting stern.

"Alright, jokes over now," Isaac interjected, his tone firm as he stepped in to quell the escalating tension between Lee and Aria.

"No, Isaac, let him talk," Aria said, shooting her best friend a meaningful look before turning her attention back to Lee with a fake smile. "For once in my life, I actually wanna hear this," she added, her tone laced with sarcasm as she waited for Lee's response.

Before Lee could respond, his phone rang, eliciting an annoyed sound from him. He pulled his phone out of his pocket to see who was calling, then got up and walked a distance away from Isaac and Aria to answer the call privately.

"I think I know who that is—" Isaac started to say.

"—Tiffany,"Aria finished.

LEE CROUCHED OUTSIDE his girlfriend's house on the roof, the darkness of the night enveloping him. It was eight in the evening, and he had carefully snuck out of his own house to see Tiffany. Lee had enlisted his brother's help to cover for him, ensuring that he wouldn't get caught in his act.

Lee lightly tapped her window immediately causing Tiffany to smile at her boyfriend. She got up from her bed opening the window, Lee now stood in her room.

Lee lightly tapped her window, and Tiffany's face immediately lit up with a smile as she recognized her boyfriend's familiar gesture. She got up from her bed and hurried to open the window, allowing Lee to step into her room, his presence filling the space with warmth and excitement.

Tiffany wasted no time as she grabbed Lee's face, her urgency evident as she leaned in, connecting her lips to his. Lee was momentarily caught off guard, but he quickly melted into the kiss, reciprocating with equal fervor.

Lee pulled away from the kiss, causing Tiffany to look at him with a mixture of confusion and concern. "We need to talk," he said, his tone serious, signaling that there was something important on his mind that he needed to discuss with her.

"Is it because of her?" Tiffany assumed, her tone laced with suspicion. Lee's confusion grew as Tiffany backed away from him, her words cutting through the intimacy of the moment. "It's that bitch. What did you do with her, or what did she do with you?" Tiffany's accusation hung heavily in the air.

confusion deepened crossed Lee's face. "What are you talking about? Who's 'her'?" he asked, genuinely puzzled by Tiffany's accusation.

"You know exactly who i'm talking about."

"No, I don't," Lee argued back, frustration evident in his voice. "Can you stop doing that? Always assuming," he pleaded, feeling unfairly judged by Tiffany's unfounded suspicions.

"Well, Lee, you've cheated before. What makes me think you might not do it again?" Tiffany said, her frustration evident as she waved her hands in the air, her trust shaken by past events.

"Oh, stop playing the fucken victim, Tiffany—You also cheated," Lee argued back, his tone rising in frustration as he confronted her with her own transgressions.

"You know what— I cant do this no more." Tiffany said.

Lee rolled his eyes, recognizing that this was one of the tactics Tiffany used when she was upset. She would say hurtful things out of anger in an attempt to make him feel guilty. Initially, it had worked, as Lee had been deeply in love and easily affected by her words. However, that feeling had worn off not so long ago.

Lee knew that Tiffany would likely call him in the morning, asking for forgiveness as she always did after their arguments. He had become accustomed to this pattern and no longer worried about their conflicts.

"I'm gonna go back home." Lee stated.

"Yeah i think that's better."
