Grace felt the heat of the explosion on her face. Pope was quick to grab her wrist and pull her along. She shoved the gun back into her waistband and fell into step beside him, taking off running away from the fire that had broken out.
The fire alarm went off and workers began shouting and running in all directions, allowing Pope and Grace to get back to their friends without getting caught.
"Pope, what was that? Huh?" John B was quick to ask while the duo caught their breath.
"That was some James Bond shit!" Grace got out through her pants.
Pope straightened up and pointed towards a shipping container. "Look. That container's going on the ship. We can get in that way. Are you with me?"
"You're a genius," John B grinned.
"Let's go. Hey, this way. Come on. Come on," John B ushered them along.
The group followed after him, JJ grabbing Grace's hand once more.
"Wait, they're right there, they're right there," JJ held out a hand to stop his friends before they could get around the semi truck that was hauling the container.
Pope climbed up into the back of the truck.
"Whoa, wait. Did we think this through?" JJ was quick to ask.
"Yes. This is the plan," Pope nodded.
"That's a trap right there. We can't get out once we get back in," JJ continued.
John B grabbed both of JJ's shoulders to stop his rambling. "You guys don't have to come. Right?"
"Right. This is our fight," Pope added.
Pope pulled John B up, then leant Grace a hand.
Kie and JJ turned to each other. "Nothing to lose?"
"Nothing to lose," Kie confirmed before they both climbed in.
The Pogues rushed into the very back of the container.
"You almost had me thinking you were gonna wimp out, J," Grace teased.
"Where you go, I go," JJ shrugged while slinging an arm over her shoulders.
Grace grinned up at him from under his arm.
JJ sat down in a pile of tubbing and Grace sat herself on a barrel nearby. The rest of the group got comfy around them.
"Okay. She's good to go. Lock her up," they heard a voice from outside. John B stuck his fist out and JJ was quick to bump it.
The door creaked shut, darkening the container's interior. They continued listening to the voices outside before the container began to move.
"We gotta be on the dock now," JJ spoke as the truck pulled to a stop.
John B merely shushed him in response.
Metal clanked and creaked. Grace stood up, trying to listen better. Kie, Pope and John B did the same while JJ stayed comfortable in his throne of plastic tubes.
Suddenly the container lifted. The group held onto whatever they could to stay sturdy as it swayed.
Grace went flying towards JJ and landed roughly in his lap.
"Hey, baby," JJ grinned.
"I feel like this has happened before," Grace grinned back.
JJ tightened his grip on her waist as the container got jostled once more. Then it went still.
"We made it," JJ whispered. Grace slapped a hand over his mouth.
John B peered through a small vent at the top of the container. A hand reached up. John B shot down.
