I'm thankful for all of it. The highs. The lows. The blessings. The lessons. The setbacks. The comebacks. The hate. Everything.

"I was thinking a second honeymoon," he randomly mentioned one night as he and Diana prepared for bed.
As a symbol of union—devotion, rather—he and his wife now shared the same bedroom. They had shared a room for a while until those various things happened, but now, Alice's birth signified a new beginning with both sides now recommitted to the marriage.
Today they were in Kensington—Diana's preferred home when he asked this question. He preferred Highgrove to Kensington in almost every way, but he can't deny that Kensington had a much more favorable location compared to his beloved abode; especially since he and Diana had numerous engagements in London to attend to during the week. Moreover, both William and Harry had school, another reason why Kensington was their main residence.
It was only during the weekends when they were able to head out to Highgrove. But that also depended on whether he, Diana, and the boys had other things to do in London.
Diana looked up at him from the vanity, looking quite bemused by the idea.
"For what?"
"Your birthday and our anniversary."
It was to be Diana's twenty-ninth birthday and their ninth anniversary this July. Just over a year ago, Alice was born. She was an unexpected surprise but nonetheless turned out to be a blessing in disguise.
"Well... where is this going to be? Surely not Britannia."
To this statement, both Charles and Diana laughed—the memories of their horrible honeymoon on the ship still lingering in memory. The Britannia was and still is a stunning ship, but it was like a floating observation tank. Even meals weren't private as a live band and twenty crew members stood watching them closely- waiting for them to finish their meal.
It was certainly not the best place for newlyweds.
Charles was walking towards the bed normally before deciding to stop and watch his wife put on her numerous face creams with an amused look on his face.
Diana could see that he was staring thanks to the mirror in front of her. "What are you looking at?" She snapped, raising her eyebrows and turning her back to look at her husband in the eye.
"I never realized you put that much care into your face."
"Well, it's none of your business. So stop ogling me and go to bed," Diana said in a matter-of-fact tone.
Charles laughed a bit before obeying his wife and tucking himself into bed. Soon enough, Diana joined him as well.
"I was thinking of the Broadlands," he suggested to his wife. He then realized she had a look of hesitation on her face. "What's wrong, darling?" he asked, worried he had said something to make her upset.
Diana shook her head. "Nothing. I love it, but I'm not that keen on the people who own it."
She was, of course, referring to Norton and Penny Knatchbull, one of Charles and Camilla's closest friends. They were against Diana from the start, even before she and Charles got married, considering her a silly girl (she was but still). But what Diana couldn't forget was how they helped orchestrate his affair with her.
