a poem

by Sage

Lovely red flower, so pretty

Its petals shine under the sunlight

And its beauty mesmerizes you

As the water falls from your container

 Gentle red flower, so soft

You place it in its favourite spot

Where the sun feeds it

And it remains in peace as you watch it

 Tall red flower, so heavy

It bends over, about to break

But you support it with a cage and stakes

And it remains upright afterward

 Lonely red flower, so gloomy

It watches you leave, holding back tears

As you leave in the distance,

the lovely red flower's last petal falls onto the ground
