It was the middle of Autumn. The brown and orange trees and their fallen children littered across the ground creating a badly knitted blanket that covered the healthy green grass. Yet even with the crowd of trees of the forest and fallen leaves, it created a pathway, an aisle.

The blood-soaked bride walked down the aisle away from the direction of her husband's corpse. Her kimono dragged across the ground collecting dirt and mixing in with the blood stains. Her husband's naginta dragged across the crowd creating a long trail line on the hard earth.

Her hair that she worked an hour on to impress her husband has messed up strands poking out in weird directions. The white makeup she wore a white mask of makeup, and her tear stains were still evident on her cheeks along with her smudged lipstick and red eyeliner that dried onto her cheekbones matching the splatters of her enemies' blood.

The stench of the blood that escaped from her body due to how many days she walked. The soles of her feet were bruised in her wedding shoes, but the heartbreak and betrayal she felt helped numb the pain. For days she walked, to the point she stepped off the trail and disappeared into the woods.

Nothing, not even the painful clenching and grumbles of her stomach snapped her out of her trance. That was until an arrow whizzed past her cheek narrowly missing and impaled itself into the tree. The discarded bride stopped in her steps snapping out of her trance. Even with the pain all crashing down on her all at once, she didn't stagger, not when her eyes landed on someone standing not too far away from her.

Behind her attacker was a huge cliffside with a waterfall. The waterfall rained down from the heavens and into the lake below it. In front of the small lake was the attacker with a bow that almost kissed the heavens. The person lowered their bow to see if the bride would run away after their warning.

The bride had never seen someone like them before. Their black hair was twisted into short locs. They had full lips of a woman, but eyes that reminded you of a man. They had defended the cheekbones of both genders. What stood out more was their skin. It was brown in contrast to the pale complexion of the people of Japan and that of the white devils she was hunting for. It was a rare and confusing sight.
