<———>
Your best friend, Maria, had recently changed a soldier. You got to meet him today, for the first time. Currently, you were waiting in the designated spot to meet up, maybe hunt a little with the new born. As of current, you were 100 years old. You've seen plenty of newborns and how sporadic they can be, so Maria has entrusted you with helping "teach" the newborn. You haven't been waiting for long, at least not what it felt, and Maria and the newborn stroll up, acting nonchalant. "Hey, Y/n! How's it going?" Maria asks, not introducing you yet. "I've been alright, nothing much happening. How about you and your new.. recruit?" I respond, nodding toward the tall, Curly headed man standing behind her. He looks shy. "Oh! Yes! My new recruit!" She remembers him in an instant, and turns to him. It seems as if she's taken a liking to the name "recruit" and I kind of felt bad for the fact that it could be his nickname for the rest of his life, or at least his time with Maria. "So! Y/n this is Jasper, and Jasper this is y/n!" She winks at us, makes up an excuse to leave, and we're left alone in the middle of nowhere. "So, how's the vampy life? Liking it so far?" I ask playfully. He didn't laugh. "No I don't, I'd rather be killed." He says sternly, really meaning it. I felt how he felt, I wasn't sure if I was feeling empathy for him, because in reality, nobody chose to become one. Not at least of my knowledge. "So uh.. what are we hoping to accomplish today? I suppose this won't be our only time together, Maria is a perfectionist, we might be here a while." I say, trying to lighten the mood. "I don't really care, if I'm going to be forced to live an afterlife I've not asked for I may as well be strong. Without strength this is useless." He says blandly. His bad attitude is starting to piss me off. "Well, alright I guess let's get this over with." I say, hoping this time will go by as quickly as possible.

It has almost been 4 months of training Jasper. He hasn't had any luck on liking his new life, but he has had luck on getting stronger. He has become very strong, both mentally and physically. Maria, being her perfectionist self, thinks Jasper does not need anymore training for all he desires. Jasper agrees, he believes I don't have enough appreciation and respect towards him as an ex soldier, but that is in the past and in the vampire world, you don't base your rankings on social status. It's "are you strong and independent or weak and needy?". I was strong and independent, viewing him as weak and needy, vampires shouldn't be so attached to people. It's odd. He clings to Maria like a baby with a mother. He on the other hand, views himself as independent and strong, presumably disliking me for thinking of him that way. His lessons and training of newborn facilities are done. He's leaving with Maria, or without her, going elsewhere nevertheless. I will miss him, but I'm sure we will cross paths again.

It had been 200 or so years since Jasper had been under your influence of training. I was traveling the world, because I mean cmon, living forever means constant nothingness to do. Currently I was in Washington, admiring the City of Seattle. It was beautiful all the time, no matter how much it rains. I've been to college many times, dabbling in different careers because there was nothing else to do. With that being said, I have a degree for the medical field, and some town you've never heard of - forks- had a hospital that just do so happened to need some help. I was staying in Seattle for a good while, so why not give a little help? With being alive for almost 300 years, you've learned to get over the sweet scent of human blood. You're a vegetation to not only appear more normal with your eyes, and not being killed by the volturri for making our existence known. Win win. You apply for a job there, get accepted and your first day is today. Your partner, Dr. Cullen, was very kind. He has blonde hair, really pale skin, - kind of like yours- and beautiful hazel eyes. Also like yours. You don't hear a heart beat coming from him, so you presumed he was also a vampire. "Welcome to Forks Hospital," he says, sticking out his hand. I shake it, feeling his skin, just barely warmer than mine. He introduces me to the team and where his office is, there isn't enough room for my own so we share. I finish off my first shift, long and dragging on. "Hey, Y/N." Dr. Cullen calls after me as I make my way out. I turn at his voice, and he whispers me something no human could hear. "Y/n, I would be delighted for you to join my coven. I know you're a vampire, and I understand most want to be independent. You can decline." I nod in response and take a few seconds to think about it. "Maybe not quite join it, but I would be delighted to meet your family- er, I mean coven." I say, he nods and tells me his address.

During the disgustingly long night, I decided to hunt. I have nothing to do but twiddle my thumbs and look at the stars, so I decide to have a little fun. I make my way to the park, not too far from home. I stalk my prey, go in for the kill and suck all the warm blood from it. As I finish up, I hear steps near me. At first I think it's another curious animal, coming to see the commotion my prey made. But the steps aren't in fours, but in twos. Within further inspection, it's a persons. No heart beat, almost silent steps, no breathing.
