I woke up the next morning with about 22 voice messages from Chuck. I listened to all of them. They were basically apologizing and telling me to call him back. He finally gave up.
I decided I have to tell Dean. I've been avoiding his calls and texts all week. It's best to be honest rather than lying.
I picked up my phone and called him. "Alex?" He sounded surprised.
"Hi.." I said back.
"Where have you been?" He seemed concerned.
Oh just in bed with Chuck and Aaron. "No where."
"You aren't even talking, you're giving short sentence answers. Alex what's wrong?" His voice got weak.
"Nothing.."
"I know there's something wrong. Just tell me already."
"Dean, nothing's wrong."
"Oh that's not what Chuck said last night."
"What did he tell you?!"
"Alex, I want you to tell me."
I took a deep breath and let it out. "I slept with Chuck."
"You did what?!" He started choking over the phone.
"And Aaron."
"What the fuck?!"
"Chuck said that you were upset when I asked him how you were. That's all he told me."
"Oh, well now you know."
"Okay let's do this in order. First, I thought you hated Chuck."
"I did.. I don't know. Something happened that made him really appealing."
"Okay second, who's Aaron?"
"Water park Aaron."
"Oh my god, Alex. Seriously?!"
"Yeah, he's staying with his grandparents, who happen to live a mile away, this summer."
"Okay third, I thought you loved me?"
"I do love you. You're the one who left and told me to go have a life."
"Yeah, I meant with guys other than Chuck and guys that are going to have to leave like I did."
"So you left. This is none of your concern anymore."
"I can't believe this."
"What."
"I have no idea how I'm still in love with you."
"Dean, stop."
"You slept with Chuck.. Please tell me he wasn't inside of you?!"
"What the hell do you think sex is?"
"Aw Alex, really?"
"Yes really, I'm sorry."
"Was he.."
"Was he what?"
"Was he better than me?"
"I'm am not saying anything."
"Okay good, I was better. What about Aaron?!"
"Dean!"
"Okay so first is the best. Got it."
"Please stop Dean, I'm so embarrassed."
"Why? We are friends aren't we?"
"Yeah but you're kind of my ex now."
"I will always be willing to come back to you but if we aren't dating, I want to be friends."
"Well okay then."
"So you're not officially dating anyone?"
"Nope. Not until someone moves his ass here I'm not."
"I'm going to move there after the seasons over."
"You broke up with me for a month of being away?"
"They said it was going to be 6 months but they changed it to 1 because the show isn't getting that popular."
"You suck."
"I love you."
"Oh my gosh, you're so confusing!"
