Chapter 61

My exams are soon to approach and I am working hard to understand everything so that I can finish my year and finish with school. It is only one year but already I cannot wait to get done with it. 
I haven't gotten my push gift yet. Nkosana and I will sort that out once I have graduated and atleast started cooking for other people then I can see if I am comfortable with opening my own place. 
I am seated in the dining room as I am going through my cook book and also my manual and also my note book has some little notes that I understand and remember. 
“You are so focused today. The boys and I miss you”,I look up and see Nkosana walking in with the kids.
He was at the office the last time I checked he was at work. He left while I was still studying. I don't want to make a mistake of not knowing things in the exam and practicals that I will have. 
“I don't want to not know anything”,I say as he comes towards me and I stretch out my arms to take one of the boys and kiss his cheek.
“Baby you know everything. You practiced yesterday and the meals you made were great. I am sure you need to take a break”,He says.
“Yeah, maybe”
“Come, how about I cook for you today?”
“You don't have to”
“I insist”,I nod my head. 
I lightly sigh and kiss the baby.
“Mr Dladla tried to contact me again. His assistant was here this morning with a message”,I say and he clenches his jaw. 
“Mmmh”
“I turned them away. I don't know what he really wants from me”
“I will sort it out, don't worry”,I nod my head.
“Thank you”,I get off the chair. 
“Come, let me change your diaper.”,I say to my little boy and we go to the bedroom. I put him on the bed and I search for his diaper and get it. 
“Baby your phone is ringing!”,I hear Nkosana say.
“Answer it please”,I say back and I hear some silence.
I finish changing the baby's diaper.
I see Nkosana walk in the room with my phone and the baby.
“Yes ma,we will”,He hands the phone to me and I take it. 
“Hello"
“Zano, how are you?”
“I am good aunty, how are you?"
“I am good, haibo I saw your statuses. What is going on?”,She asks.
“I am just stressed about school.”
“You shouldn't be, you will be okay”,Nkosana takes the dirty diaper and walks off. 
“Yeah, Nkosana says the same thing and also someone has been pestering me too and I am tired of it"
“Who is it?”
“Some man, he sends gifts and his assistant. He wanted to initially get me to cook for his event but I declined because he was making me uncomfortable”
“Send his phone number. I will sort it out,nx who does he think he is?”
“I don't know aunty and Nkosana doesn't like it too. He said he will kill him because he is testing his family”,I say to my aunt.
“Haah, umkhwenyana is too good to do that. He is just angry”
“I think he means it aunty. I just don't know”
“Don't worry, if things change and become bad then you tell me okay?”,I nod my head. 
“Okay,I will"
“How are my grand babies? I miss them”
“They are good"
“I can't find my hat”,I hear a manly man behind on the other side. 
“It's on the bed!”,I hear my aunt.
“Haibo who is that?”,I ask.
“Indoda Yami Sisi, the one and only”,She says.
“Malume Thami is there?"
“Yes, he came yesterday. He will be here for a while”,She says.
“Why?"
“Haah he likes me and I miss him”,She says. 
Oh old love like couldn't he video call her or something.
“What about his work?"
“He brought it with him”,I nod my head.
“Okay"
“I have to go, bye Zano."
“Bye aunty”,I say and hang up.
I pick up the baby and then we walk out. We find the nanny in the living room and she asks for the twin and I give the baby to her and then go to the kitchen.
I find Nkosana already busy in there and the baby is in the high seat resting.
“My aunt's boyfriend is in Lady Smith with her”,I say.
“Didn't she leave a few days ago?”,He asks.
“She did. Baby I need Luu's numbers. I need to talk to the twins. I miss them”,I say.
“My phone is in the car”,He says.
“Okay, I will get it”,He nods his head. 
I leave him chopping and get the car keys before I go out of the apartment and went to the parking lot. I get to his car and unlock it and the lights Flash before I open the door. I help myself inside because it is a bit high and I search for his phone and I can't see it. I sigh and take out my phone and try to call it and it rings inside the center console and I open it and my heart skips a beat.
I see a gun under the phone. He has a gun?
I take his phone and I look at the gun for a while before I close the console and I quickly jump out of the car and run off after locking it. 
Where did Nkosana get that gun? I really wonder. 
I get inside the house and close the door quickly.
“Are you okay?”,The nanny asks and I nod my head.
“Did you find it baby?!”,I head Nkosana shouting from the kitchen.
I rush to the kitchen and I see him.
He has the pots on the stove now and the oven is active. 
“You have a gun?",I ask softly and he stops moving. 
“Fuck!”,He cusses under his breath and turns to me. 
He wipes his hands and moves close to me.
“You were not supposed to see that”
“You are not a taxi owner or a police officer so what do you need it for?"
“Protection"
“You have guards Nkosana.”
“Extra protection, the guards are there sometimes but you may never know what happens”,He says.
“Is it real?”
“Y-yes”,I look at him. 
“Please just trust me”, he says and I look at him. 
I breathe in and out.
“Okay, don't hurt me with it”
“I would never do that baby, I promise you”,I nod my head. 
“Okay”,I breathe in and out. 
“I am sorry you had to see that. I will make sure you never seen it again”,He says.
“Okay”,He perks my lips. 
“I will be done with food”,he says.
“I will call Luu”,I say and he nods. 
I walk away to the dining room to pack my things before I go to our bedroom and then I put my things down and get Luu's number and then I call her.

“He has a gun”,I say softly looking left and right making sure that no one is in place. 
“You saw his gun?”,Nomvelo asks.
“Yes”,I quickly whisper.
“He is good at hiding things.I know Lange's gun”
“Me too but Jabu hides it well. I have never seen it, I just know he has one”,Happy says. 
“Guys I don't even know if Thulani has one”
“I think he does.They are moguls so I understand them having guns. As much as they are not in danger but they need it”,Happy says. 
“But there are guards for that. We have the money for that”,Nomvelo says.
“What happens when you are in danger and it is just Thulani and yourself?”,Nomvula says.
“I was scared. A part of me wants to try it out but another doesnt”
“Try what Zano?”,Nomvelo says.
“The gun”
“No!”,The say all together.
“My intrusive thoughts are winning right now. I want to see if really it works”
“Don't you dare Zanokuhle!”,Nomvula says.
“Just trust Nkosana and when he says you will not see it again then you won't”
“Wherw is Khanyi?”
“She went to see her boyfriend”,I say.
“Okay”
“Zano don't worry about the gun. When is your wedding and what's for your birthday?”
“I want to get married in December and have it then”
“That will give us time to prepare”
“I will give you more details when I know”
“Okay, we love you”
“I love you too”,The door opens and Nkosana walks in. 
“I have to go”,I say and then we end the call.
“The girls?”
“Yes”,I say and ask him to charge my phone for me. 
He does charge my phone and he comes and sits next to me. 
“I know that knowing that I have a gun is disturbing you and I don't want that to happen for you”,he says.
“It won't”
“You promise to tell me if it bothers you?”,I nod my head.
“Yes”
“Come here”,He pats on his lap and I get on him.
“I think I am a bit healed now”,he smirks.
“What do you mean by that?”,I kiss his lips.
He returns the kiss and he runs his hands over my bums and lifts me to sit properly on him. 
I break the kiss and look at him. 
“I love you”,I lean in and kiss him once again. 
“I love you more”,I say through the kiss.
