"elle is cool, I can understand why she's your best friend" I say into the phone

"we're very similar, but in an opposite way" y/n laughed

"yeah I kinda understand that-" I reply. I knew what he meant but in an odd way

"anyways, I was wondering if maybe you wanted to come over tomorrow?" I ask

"short notice, but of course I do" he replied, I could hear the smile in his voice

"cool, you can tell me what time and all that stuff later" I say, a smile on my face

"okay cool, anyways I have to go now, elle is ditching me for some girl and I have to leave" he laughs

I laugh in return

"okay bye, see you soon" I smile

"bye romeo" elle shouts into the phone

"fuck off!" y/n says, presumably talking to elle

"bye james" he laughs and hangs up

I smile at his chaotic-ness and turn my phone off, excited to see him.

as I'm getting into bed, a notification pops up on my phone

it was a text from y/n

I smile and click on it
