chapter two - okay
Lucy Caddel
"You're gonna have to hold on tighter, we can't waste any time," His voice instructs as I grip on his waist more.
"Is there a reason why we're going so fast?" I yelled out to him, close to his ear as we sped down the main road of my town to the hospital.
"You can't be in one spot too long, it's too dangerous. People can track you with any sort of device.," He turns down the street to the hospital. "We're just going to give you a checkup here and then we're heading to somewhere safe."
We pulled into a park in the lot underneath the hospital building. It was dark down here and packed with cars. My body was still filled with shakes as slipped off the helmet and patted down my blonde hair which is all messy from the wind.
"Follow me," He tied the helmets to his bike and walked alongside me to the elevator that was at the far end of the building.
He selected the first floor on the buttons and leaned back against the wall, pulling out his phone that had started ringing.
"Agent Folan." He said after he lifted the phone to his ear. "Yes, she's with me, safe for now. We're just ducking into the hospi—." He pauses, I hear the person yell and cut him off.
"We'll only be quick, Then we're heading to the room. She hit her head quite hard, she has to be checked in case of any internal bleeding." He says, looking at me anxiously.
"Okay, will do. See you soon." He ends the call as soon as the elevator doors open.
"Who was that?" I follow him out the doors to the reception.
"One of my bosses is asking about you." He cleared his throat.
"I probably shouldn't be the one saying this, but there's something about those files I saw that may link to people in the FBI." I practically ran to match his stride.
He exhales and ignores me, the reception desk quickly approaches our view. "Hey, could we have a nurse?" He calls out.
"There's a wait Sir, please sit down in one of the seats." The lady at the reception desk responds to him.
He lifts his badge. "I'm here on behalf of the FBI, we'll only be quick."
She sighs and lifts her phone. "Any nurse available, please make your way to reception 1 immediately."
My phone buzzes in my pocket. This causes Harry to shoot his eyes to mine. "Shit, you still have your phone on you?"
"No, but my pocket just vibrates for no reason," I say bluntly, still salty about his ignorance.
"Whatever, you need to get rid of it now." He demands.
A nurse comes up behind us. "Is this the girl I'm checking up on?"
Harry nods to her. "Yes, it is."
"Follow me dear." She gestures towards a room behind us with a bright blue door in a corridor, it looks never-ending.
