Scene 1

I don't remember the feeling of the warm sun, I don't recall the noise of the bustling city, i can't recount the smell of the spring air in the breeze. All I remember was the feeling of my feet sinking into the ground, as if I stepped into quicksand. I remember struggling, I remember how with every tug, with every scream, I only sank lower. My throat was lumpy and full of all the things I couldn't say to you. My palms were clammy as they grasped to reach yours. Why couldn't I just move, why couldn't I just find the words to convince you?

Why, with these eyes, could I only watch you walk away?

Why, with these eyes, could I only watch you walk away?
