While working here, these people would beg me to clean the machine because nobody else would restock or clean the machines. The amount of sodas that go into this machine with flavorings is so intense, half the time these machines break without warning or the pieces are so small and flimsy that nobody really thinks of cleaning the machine let alone restocking it. Nobody wants to deal with the hassle of it. One night I was deep cleaning the machine and these are the disgusting horrors I found... moldy soda nozzles. Sticky, colored, muck just stuck to the thing your drink slides out of. The dispenser of soda is rarely pulled and cleaned which causes build up of sugars from soda. This eventually starts to mold and without being cleaned... traces can be found in your soda or any other drinks from a freestyle machine. I'm sure the drive-thru drink machine is even worse due to the complexity of it. Maybe you should wipe it with a napkin next time you think about getting a drink👀
