Riding beside Shadis, Siegfried grumbled under his breath. The cadets were all doing a training exercise in the rain to mimic harsh conditions. A strong body, strong mind type of thing. Thankfully he was no longer a trainee so he didn't have to run with the poor victims. His horse keeping a steady pace, the young man could only watch as those who had trained under him and with him began to suffer through the harsh rain whilst carrying their gear.

'Many of these cadets are pretty much chalked full of potential. Can't wait to see what they become.' His eyes focused in on a young man with gray eyes, although due to light they always ranged from green to blue. 'That boy... Eren Jaeger. He seems familiar but anytime I try to figure it out, my head starts to hurt.' Ignoring those musings for now, Siegfried returned hus attention to the front as Shadis continued his onslaught of insults.

It had now been a couple hours and the pouring rain had yet to stop. Sitting next to Florian on the porch of the Instructor Dorms, Siegfried could only wonder what it was that kept the rain pouring for almost six hours. "It's been like this all day! When is it going to stop?" Turning to Florian, he could see she was just as annoyed and bewildered as him. This rain had flat first been perfect for training cadets to tough out harsh weather conditions, but then it got excessive and training itself had to be halted after it was obvious the rain wouldn't stop.

'It also doesn't help that I've been sensing something weird, I don't know how to describe it either...', he thought to himself. 'I just know I can feel it and this weird aura appears in a specific area.' Turning away from Florian, the young man debated whether or not he should investigate. "Florian I—" He prepared to inform her bit he was interrupted by the appearance of Shadis and all the training officers. Everyone was decked out in gear while out in the distance he could see another group preparing the horses.

"Anpassen, Ottilia. Gear up and ready your horses. Cadets Mina Carolina, Ruth Kline,, and Hannah Diamant have gone missing." Shadis pointed in the direction from which the malevolent aura came from. Siegfried felt his stomach drop, there was a possibility that those girls died. No aura is that evil without killing intent. "Some tracks were found entering the treeline. Prepare for search and rescue."

Quickly Florian and Siegfried rushed to get their gear and horses ready. 'I knew I should've investigated.'

It had been close to an hour when Shadis decided that they weren't covering enough ground. Siegfried took the chance to claim the area with that sickening aura, he knew for sure the girls were most likely there. He'd abandoned his horse halfway through the journey as a means to signal for the others that his area would require further checking. Just in case.

After separating from his horse, Siegfried followed the strange aura that seemed to be calling out to him. It had taken him at least thirty minutes but he had reached a circular field that was at least six hundred meters wide in diameter. In the center of that field was a strange fish-like abomination. Its entire body was that of a carp with a serpent tail exiting from the space between the two rear fins. It was blue all over with a strange hole in its forehead. The girls did not seem to be in sight.

'What the...' Rubbing his eyes, the strange abomination had yet to disappear. It was there right before his eyes. "Oi! I don't know what the hell or who the hell you are but you need to leave! This is military property!" The fish creature stared at him before moving erratically. Its movements were eerie and like that of a serpent.

"Look Papa... I... One Caught... Another!"

A distorted voice originated from where the creature stood. Just as Siegfried was prepared to get physical...
