Shoko stared at Gojo who wasn't cracking his usual jokes. Gojo glances at Shoko and forces a smile, " nothing much." an obvious lie
Shoko doesn't believe it for a second, looking over the table to a abnormally calm Geto
'you guys are acting so weird' Shoko wants to speak up
" Suguru." her tone demanding. Geto is caught by her words and hums in response
" come with me for a moment" Shoko takes one worried look at Gojo before walking away with Geto
" whats up?" Geto was confused, being led out the small restaurant. He looks at Shoko who gives him a troubled look.
" what happened to [y/n]?" Shoko was straightforward. Geto chuckled, trying to play it off.
" what do you mean?" his voice threatening to stutter
" you and Gojo have been acting up and [y/n] isn't here so it's only right to assume" Shoko crosses her arms. " thats normal though" Geto placed his hands in his pockets
A part of Shoko wants to move on and believe the lie but she couldn't just sit idly. " she's my friend Suguru...and right now I feel like something is off" Shoko guilt tripped
Geto tried to remain calm but it doesn't work with Shoko's glare. " fine..she just went on a mission" Geto partly told the truth
" mission? She wasn't listed on the mission board today? Who is she hunting down?" Shoko kept persisting with questions. Geto breathed in, knowing you wouldn't forgive him if he told Shoko
" it's just a small mission.." Geto lied again. Feeling bad for Shoko
The two of them didn't notice the figure behind the wall in front of them. It was Gojo, who overheard their whole conversation
'Mission? You couldn't possibly be hunting down the person who turned your parents into curses right?' Gojo cursed himself.
He quickly thought of teleporting to Yaga's office immediately. Since Yaga was busy Gojo opened the door to his office, scanning through his cabinets
He was quick, finding his reports and scanning for that faithful night. He knew you. He knew you would check his report for clues on that curse
He was right. The files on that one night were gone. Gojo instantly knew that you were going to the apartment complex
' why [y/n]..' Gojo feared, not wanting you to experience what he did years ago.
Gojo placed the folders back. He heard Yaga's voice echo from the outside. Planning to find you, he quickly teleported so Yaga wouldn't catch him
