Zyire drove down the campus streets towards the on campus apartments that his Bestfriend stayed in.
Smoothingly pulling into the apartments he turned off his car and grabbed the chickfila and flowers ha had grabbed on the way there.
He knew it would cheer Summer up since she was bummed that she wasn't at his game last weekend, but also in that same weekend she had one of her episode and wasn't feeling her self.
So Zyire wanted to make sure she was good.
Knocking on her apartment door not a second later the door was swung open and he was met with Summer jumping into his arms catching him by surprise.
"Zy i've missed you so muchh" She muttered holding tighter.
Zyire chuckled making sure the two wouldn't fall.
"I missed you too Summer real talk, here i got you some food and stuff" He put her back on the ground and Summer looked up at her best friend dreamily.
Even a stranger from the strip could tell that Summer was in love with Zyire.
But if deny, deny, deny was a person then it would Zyire...
"Awwww Zyire you didn't have to, im fine really"
Summer smiled taking the food and flowers from him while they both stepped inside the apartment, Zyire closing the door behind him.
"Nahh Summer you and i both know you not, stop doing shit and let me be here for you and take care of you" Zyire pulled his best friend into a warm hug.
Just like she missed him over the weekend he missed her just as much.
If you thought they were newly profound Bestfriends then you were wrong.
Wayyyy before they become each other's best friends, they were boyfriend and girlfriend their freshman and sophomore years in high school.
But things ended badly when Summer all of sudden moved after sophomore only to come back for her senior year. But when she came back Zyire had already moved on to Savani and Summer was devastated.
Zyire had love for Summer but no like he use to, he was truly happy and inlove with Savani, so he decided for them to become best friends.
And after these years Summer was still inlove with Zyire, and this whole time she was suppressing her feelings from resurfacing.
But Seeing Savani happy with the love of her life just grew the burning fire inside her.
"Im not Zyire i didn't need you to come all the way across campus, plus i know Savani is wondering where you are" Summer slickly rolled her eyes at the thought of his girlfriend.
"Nah i haven't talked ot her since las night when we got back" he frowned scratching the back of his neck looking off to the side.
"Oh.. trouble in paradise?"
Zyire sighed walking towards the livingroom taking a seat on Summer's purple Suede sofa, Summer following behind him sitting next to him and rubbed his back in soothing manner.
Feeling a little bit of pressure ease off Zyire sighed playing drawing imagery lines and shapes in the palm of his hand.
"Other the weekend my moms said some shit to Savani and got in her head knowing how she would feel about it. Still my moms went on just so she could make her statement clear towards Savani and Savani just shut down after that" he vented looking at his palm.
