Penuel's Story

So young, so foolish I was then
I met boys that thought themselves men
In the month of April, Friday
Twas cloudy when I lost my way
Older boys told me "drugs are fun"
"Take this, you'll want another one"
With this cool gang, I liked to hang
Then addiction came with a bang
I lost friends and interest in school
Started stealing, was such a fool!
My widowed mother cried and said
"My son, stop this and pray instead"
  I didn't pray, I couldn't stop
As my self love began to drop
Grew up, left home, my sister wept
Joined robbers, in their den I slept
A heist went wrong, for a reason
They jilted me to face prison
I regret, my name is Penuel
Stay clear from drugs and you'll do well
