The sound of "Bahubali" was echoing through the large pillars of Mahishmati, The fire torches the only source of light in the room were bright and were blazing up high.Beside a fire torch was a lady on a throne her eyes were as fierce as fire she was Rajamata Sivagami. Her mind was consumed by thoughts of Bahubali, for the first time she questioned her order, was that the right thing to do?.
She let out a heavy sigh. "Where is our Bahubali Rajamata" a old woman's plea was heard from the large pillars. The entire people were asking for Amarendra Bahubali.
Sivagami was in thoughts about her decision, her mind was claiming it was the right thing for the kingdom but her heart-
Heart of a mother, Who cared for Bahu, Who caressed him her heart was screaming "It was wrong--
as a mother"
Just then sound of sword clink on the ground was heard, Sivagami was shocked and tears were already forming in her eyes.
Lightning struck, Sivagami looked at Kattappa who knelt down and showed his hands covered in blood- covered in Bahubali's blood.
"Bahubali's blood" He spoke. Sivagami closed her eyes another lighting struck in that time. Kattappa rubbed the blood on her hands.
She gasped in fear before her heart had the courage to look at the blood of her son
"Can we ever wash this sin away? " The royal slave questioned. "Kattappa" Sivagami's scream echoed through the room
"You did wrong Sivagami" Kattappa screamed, Sivagami was taken aback in tears.
"You did a very big mistake, You were blinded in rage towards Bahubali that you didn't see your own son's conspiracies" Kattappa explained all the truth
Sivagami was shocked, In one side her heart was crying for her son Bahu and on the other side she couldn't believe her son Bhalla could do something like this.
She looked at the blood on her hands, a tear escaped her eye
From Sivagami's heart
Chinnari na thandri
Neeku thali ni nene ra
[ Oh my dear son
I am your mother ]
With those same hands I carried him and named him "Bahubali" and now I orde-red to kill him. How can I ?
Both of my sons are equal to me then why did I only thought about Bhalla?
Maybe because of my grudge on Bahu, "How can I ever be so selfish" I Regretted
Kadupu lo dachukunta
Bahubali ninu
[ I will forever carry you in my hands
Baahubali ]
Can't I, a mother get a second chance so I could give justice to one son and raise one son well ?
Can't I, a mother get a chance to sing both of her sons lullaby, like I use to.
Kattappa mama ne venanti undaga
Annaya Bhalla atta ne thoduga
[ Kattappa mama is right beside you
And your dear Brother bhalla's play to keep you company]
Why did Bhalla, my son has grown such hatred towards bahu I gave both of them love, care, knowledge and everything else equally
Was I partial or it was because of the throne
Amma odilo admarchi
Bangaaru kalalni kanara
Baahubali
[ Sleep well in my arms
And dream golden dreams,
Baahubali]
A tear falls from her eyes as she closes them, her mind filled with thoughts of Bahubali. But as she opens her eyes and realizes she need to make things right as the epitome of justice.
As the water was trying to swallow her for her sins in that dark night where moon was completely swallowed by clouds, She roared
"Parameshwara"
"For all the sins I committed, take my life away, But he should live, live for his mother who is waiting for him, live to ascend the throne of Mahishmati
Mahendra Bahubali Shall Live"
Amidst the roar of the waterfall, her voice reverberates with determination and desperation. She kept the new born up and drowned herself in the scared river
Placing her grandson, Mahendra Bahubali, into capable hands, she pointed towards the roaring waterfall, her final act before drifting away in the sacred river doing the right thing as a redemption for her sin and at the end Rajamata Sivagami devi gave justice.
But the soul of a mother will forever regret....
