"I like grapes apparently..."| MHA x y/n story

Chapter 1

As soon as they walked into the classroom, Y/n was greeted by a whole room full of unfamiliar faces.

They quickly studied the room & tried to figure out how to talk to them based of of the looks on their faces.

"You can introduce yourself." Aizawa said.

*Ok, you practiced this!*

"My name is Y/n L/n & I look forward to working with you all in the future." Y/n said a bit too mechanically for their liking.

*way to go, Y/n. You sounded like a robot. C'mon, this can still be salvaged!*

"Any questions?" Y/n asked without necessarily expecting an answer.

The boy with green hair raised his hand and asked "What's your quirk?"

Y/n couldn't help but think he looked a bit like a broccoli but they quickly shook away the thought because they needed to actually answer his question.

"My quirk is, well, basically, I can make potions that have different effects by making physical contact with someone & the effect lasts three minutes." Y/n explained, "I can also store them in some kind of inventory so that I can have them with me without... actually having them with me... if that makes sense... it's better to observe but I'll show you all later."

Y/n saw the green-haired boy writing something in a book. They made a mental note to ask about that later.

"Any more questions?" Y/n politely asked.

A boy with purple spheres on his head raised his hand.

Y/n thought it looked like he had a mohawk made of grapes.

*They look so squishable. But I shouldn't judge a book by its cover. He could be a complete menace.*

"Do you like bo-" Mineta started.

"Yes/No!!!" Y/n quickly interrupted.[you can pick which answer you give]

"I think that's enough questions." Aizawa said, "You can sit down at the back of the class."

As y/n made their way to their seat, they felt, for lack of a better word, quite nice. Like when you have a really good conversation with your friend.

*Huh, that wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be!*

"I also have an important announcement." Aizawa said, "There is an upcoming sports festival. You have two weeks to prepare."

After explaining the sports festival, Aizawa gave everyone the rest of homeroom to get to know Y/n.

Learning their names was easy enough. Y/n opted to call everyone by their first names save for a select few that they would call by their family name or a nickname.

When it came to thinking of a nickname for Mineta, y/n immediately thought about his quirk. They snapped their fingers. "Lil' grape!!!" Y/n said triumphantly aloud, satisfied with the nickname they had just thought of.

"What?" Mineta gave them a confused look.

"It's the nickname I'm giving you!" Y/n smiled.

Mineta thought about the nickname he had just been given for a while which caused y/n's triumphant smile to waver slightly.

"I kinda like it." Mineta finally said.

*SCORE!!!* Y/n thought to themself joyously.

After homeroom ended, everyone went to change to their gym uniform and headed to gym gamma for training.

It was just 1v1 sparring to get y/n used to training at UA. Y/n was chosen to spar with Todoroki.

As soon as it started, y/n saw a mass of ice coming their way. They instantly got a speed potion out of their inventory, drank it, & then dodged the attack.Everyone watched in surprise as they dodged more ice.

Y/n drank a strength potion & a jump boost potion & jumped towards Todoroki in an attempt to land a hit on him. However, Todoroki saw the attack coming, dodged it, & sent another mass of ice in their direction. They just about managed to dodge it before yet another mass of ice came their way.

As soon as they knew what was happening, they were almost fully encased in ice.

*So glad I drank a strength potion earlier.* y/n thought to themself as they broke out of the ice, seemingly with ease & jumped forwards for another attack which was dodged again.

The fight went on as a continuous cycle of attacking & dodging with none of them landing a hit on each other, until the time ran out.

Since neither Y/n nor Todoroki could take the other down, it was considered a draw.

"GG!" Y/n said as they wiped the sweat off their face with their arm, "you're not easy to beat!" Todoroki only nodded a little in reply. Y/n smiled at that.

While watching the others spar, y/n couldn't help but notice how unique everyone's quirks & fighting styles were. It kind of fascinated them in a way.
