Realizations
Cordelia's POV
I gaped in disbelief when Adrian bought soju bottles. Wala sa usapang magiinom kaya nagulat talaga ako.
"Won't we get in trouble for this? The last time you guys got drunk, we almost got suspended. Tsaka ayoko na ma-detention ulit ah!"
"Kaya lang naman tayo napagalitan ay dahil nasa loob tayo ng school grounds. But now that we're outside, it's weekend and we're going to stay in our own place, I don't think anyone would know about this. Basta 'wag lang kayo mag-upload ng kahit na anong picture dahil minors pa rin tayo," Alice explained.
I bit my lower lip and frowned. Parang gusto ko na bumalik sa dorm.
"Besides, it's just soju. Hindi naman gaano nakakalasing 'yan. Parang juice nga lang," she added.
"Uy ah, matapang 'yan kapag marami ka na nainom," Faye mumbled.
"Pag maraming nainom e kaunti lang naman itong mga binili namin."
Sabagay, wala pa sa sampung bote ang binili niya. I guess I shouldn't worry that much.
Faye and I were astonished as we entered the condominium building. Hindi pala basta basta na condo ang pupuntahan namin. Parang five-star hotel sa ganda. I keep forgetting that my classmates are all noble people.
"My parents initially want me to stay here rather than sharing a room with these dorks at the dormitory building, pero hassle kasi gumising ng maaga para lang mag-drive papasok. At least lalakarin ko lang kung nasa loob ako ng campus mag-stay," Adrian shared inside the elevator.
What he said makes sense. It took us about twenty to thirty minutes to get here from our school.
"Bigatin ka pala talaga noh?" namamanghang sambit ni Faye. Once we went inside Adrian's room, my bestfriend and I simultaneously exclaimed, 'whoah'. It feels like we're in a completely different world. Ang classy ng design at halatang mamahalin lahat ng mga gamit.
Tumakbo agad si Faye papunta sa glass wall kung saan kitang-kita ang buong Charteris. Sobrang taas na kasi ng floor na ito, halos malapit na kami sa penthouse.
"Mamaya 'pag medyo gabi na, mas maa-amaze kayo sa ganda ng city lights," Adrian proudly said. I looked around and was really taken aback at how huge the unit is. Mas gusto ko pa tumira dito kaysa sa palasyo, hahaha.
Habang nagpi-picture-an sila Alice at Faye ay napansin kong nawala si Rohan. Erik's in the living room, just casually looking for a show to watch. Si Adrian naman, masayang pinapanuod ang girlfriend niya.
I walked away from our friends and found Rohan in the kitchen. He's preparing our dinner.
"Need help?" I asked, smiling genuinely at him.
He raised an eyebrow. "Do you cook?"
Umiling ako at natawa siya. "Then just stay there."
I chuckled and went beside him anyway. "Anong niluluto mo?"
"Menudo."
"Wahhh." It's been a while since I ate menudo. Hindi nga kasi kami masyado pinapakain ng meat. I think nakakain lang ako sa cafeteria ng school.
