"Not in Kansas." — PERCY JACKSON

Anastasia was upset. Not only because of her having to push Percy's half brother into one of his own beds, but because the summer solstice had already passed.
"You okay?" She asked Percy as she turned.
"Yeah. I'm fine."
"You won't save her." Crusty blurted out. "You won't be the first to try to bring someone back from the underworld, and you won't be the first to fall."
"Hey!" She screeched. "You're lucky we're letting you keep your head, dummy." She threatened.
Grover poked his head through the stores door. "Is it over?"
They stared at the assumed door to the underworld, in a line of three.
"Are we sure this is the right way?" Grover asked cautiously.
The door creaked open, and wind howled into their faces. Anastasia coughed, "It's either the realm of the dead or someone left a carton of milk in there from the nineties."
She noticed Grover tapping his leg nervously, she looked around at Crusty's desk and took a small squeaky toy off.
She tossed it to the satyr, "Better?"
He squeezed it, the toy ball making a small squeak noise and he nodded. "Much."
"If we get into trouble.." Percy paused, pulling out the pearls. "..these are our tickets out. No one's turning back till we all come back."
"No one comes back." Crusty called from the other room again.
"Dude! Don't make me come back out there! I'll like.. throw an arrow at you, or something." she murmured.
"We have no idea what's down there." Percy continued. "i just think it's better if i'm not holding them all."
there was a bit of silence, other than Grover squeaking the ball.
she nodded, "Let's go get your mom."

The underworld was extremely.. well.. unsettling, to say the least. Anastasia hated it, as a child of the sun god, being in the deepest part of the world where there was no sun, that was bad enough.
Well, other than Tartarus. But it's not like that'll ever happen, right?
Moving on, she was basically hugging herself because of how cold she was. She fiddled with the extra camp half blood shirt she had received, the orange standing out.
"Not in Kansas." Percy sighed.
"Hah." she giggled. "Love that movie."
"I know right?"
"Focus." Grover reminded the two.
"Guys, is that who I think it is?" she pointed at the line of people, and in front was a man in tattered robes.
"Charon, the boatman taking new arrivals across the River Styx." she explained. "Which means that over there is the main gate."
"Let's go. Maybe we can get there first." Percy nodded.
"Yeah."
