Hello, everyone and welcome to BOOK TWO of When Shadows Rise! When I first started this series, I never got around to making a book 2, but now that we're here, I'm so excited to get this series on a roll! I hope you guys love this book as much as you loved the first one 😄

When Shadows Rise Book II: The Count, picks up from where the first book left off. As another drug epidemic grows eminent, Talia and her friends try to sweep the streets of the poison that can and will destroy their city, and all in the name of crippling The Shredder and his business partner(s). To do that, though, they will have to seek help from one unexpected source: Casey Jones, who carries an agenda of his own. Delve into this book as origins, secrets and corruption are uncovered.
I know I mentioned this in the first book, but book two (and the series in general) does cover (or mention) mature topics such as:
Drug use
Sex
Violence
Rape
Mention of suicide & mental illness
So read at your own risk.
Since there will be multiple POV's in this story, the story WILL mostly be told through the eyes of the POV's. There will be some chapters that will be told in the normal narrator's POV (which is Talia's, BTW), but since this story kinda serves as an origin story, that's how it will be (but as you read the story, everything will be tied together in the end).
