"Architect Aguerro,welcome to the firm,I am expecting efficient job from you.Huwag mo akong bibiguin."

"I wont disappoint you Architect."

She nod.

I shake hands with Architect Salara Sanchez.My granddad knew her personally,kaya nagkaroon agad ako ng edge sa ibang mga aplikante.Architect Sanchez is the CEO of Sanchez Design Partners which is now the top architectural design firm in the Philippines.

She's a woman in her mid 40's,not that tall but lets say a top notch in her profession.Well,I heard that she had a kid,additional details about her personal life hindi ko na alam.

I applied in her firm when I was still in the U.S and my awesome credentials and yeah connection are the reason why I landed this job.

I am determined not to mess up!

"I heard that!"Boses iyon ng isang batang lalaki.

That was my expression noong mga kabataan ko pa,na madalas kong sinasabi kay Roxy pag binabara niya ako o pinagsasalitaan ng masama behind my back.

That woman was a pain in the ass,and unfortunately caused a pain in my heart.

Ms. Sanchez smiled sabay lagpas ng tingin sa aking likuran.

"Oh there's my little boy,who are you talking to son?why are you mad again?"

Yumakap ang isang batang lalaki kay Architect Sanchez.

"That,janitors daughter is very annoying!"
Humalukipkip ito,I still cant see his face dahil nakatalikod siya sa akin.

Arch.Sanchez smiled and gave her son a kissed in the forehead to calm him down.

Humarap sa akin ang bata.

His brows furrowed. "I know you.."

Parehas kami ng reaction."Well,I think I know you too."

His lip quirks up."You're the man in the plane."

"Well,yes!I think I have to introduce myself this time to you young boy.I'm Architect Archimedes Aguerro."

Hindi niya tinanggap ang pakikipagkamay ko,kaya binawi ko nalang yun at pinasok sa bulsa ko,sabay upo ulit.

Napahiya ako dun ah!medyo maangas ang batang to!

"I'm Achilles."Tipid nitong sagot,saka umupo sa lap ni Ms.Sanchez.Hindi na niya ako tiningnan at nilaro nalang ang pen ni Arch.Sanchez at nagsulat ng kung ano ano sa papel na nasa mesa.

"Pasensiyahan mo na ang anak ko,bugnutin talaga 'to."

"No,it's okay Architect,ganyan din ako dati,bugnutin,so okay lang.I understand.How old is he Architect?"dagdag kong tanong.

"I'm 5 years old,why?"

"Well,you seem more smarter than those kids your age."

Nagkibit balikat ito."I heard that,a lot.Is it wrong?"

Architect Sanchez smiled and kissed the cheek of her son.She looked very proud.

"No,its not bad."Sagot ko.

Nagkibit balikat ito ulit.

"So,what are your hobbies?do you also like to draw?like your mom?"I asked him.

He still scribbling something in the paper and didnt bother to look at me.

"No,I want to sell."He answered.

"Sell?"

"Ibig niya atang sabihin gusto niyang magbusiness,architect Aguerro."Answered Arch.Sanchez

Napangiti ako,out of nowhere naalala ko kasi si Roxy,napaka business minded din nun.

Pinapakyaw ko nga paninda nun dati,using the name Darkgray! ang korne nga,sa kakamine ko sa mga paninda ni Roxy,sa huli siya na ang gusto kong imine.Unfortunately sa lahat ng items siya lang ang hindi ko nakayanang i check out.

She's the most valuable item,na hindi ko kayang bilhin ubusin ko man ang pera ko.

"What are you thinking?"Achilles asked.

"Ha?ah nothing."

"You're spacing out,you almost look like an idiot."

"Dont say that Achilles.That's bad."saway ni Arhitect Sanchez sa anak.

"I'm just telling the truth Mom.And you told me its not good to lie."

Napailing nalang si Arch. Sanchez.
Matalino ang bata,very eloquent.

Tumayo si Architect kaya tumayo na rin ako at nakipagdaop palad sa kanya.

"Well,see you on Monday Architect Aguerro,may pupuntahan pa kasi kami ng anak ko."

"Are we going to the cemetery Mom?"

"Yes son."

"Can we stop at the nearby flowershop first and buy white roses for Artemis?"

"Yes anak.Walang problema."

"So Mr.Aguerro,we will go now,see you."

"Ihahatid ko na po kayo sa baba."Alok ko.

Sumakay kami ng elevator.

"Carry me."Achilles said then raised his hands.

Sumaya ang puso ko sa sinabi nito kaya agad ko siyang kinarga.

Titig na titig siya sa mukha ko.

"What?"I asked.

"Are you my dad?"

"Huh?"

"Achilles he is not your dad,your dad is in heaven remember?"

Achilles pouted and nod.

"But we have the same lips Mom and he also have dimples like me."

"That doesnt mean that Architect Aguerro is your Dad,son."

Mas lalong nanghaba ang nguso ng bata.

Napangiti tuloy ako.

He looked at me again,then suddenly held my cheeks."Can you be my dad?"

"Achilles..pasensiya na Arch. Aguerro."

"Its okay Arch.Sanchez."Tumingin ako sa bata,"You can call me dad if you want to?"

"You sure?"

I nod.

He hugged me in the neck and kissed my cheek.

"I miss you,Dad."

Parang hinaplos ang puso ko sa sinabi niya.

Bumukas ang elevator,binaba ko naman si Achilles ng makita nito ang isang matandang babae.Pakiwari ko,ay ito yung nanny niya.

"Sige na Manang Emilia,mauna na kayo sa sasakyan."Saad ni Arch.Sanchez.

Nang maiwan kaming dalawa sa lobby ay hinawakan niya ako sa kanang braso.

"I'm sorry sa pagiging makulit ng anak ko.Lumaki kasi siyang walang ama kaya medyo may pagkamakulit and a bit spoiled."

Kumabog ang puso ko sa narinig.

She tapped my right arm."I have to go now.See you again Architect Aguerro."

Hinatid ko siya ng tanaw,and I am silent!

Kinakabahan ako.
