💚Chapter 14💚

12:30PM,Sumeru streets
Kaveh's POV

I look at the time, noticing I was late to the meeting with my client. I just hope they won't notice the marks.. I thought, letting out a sharp sign, then going to get ready.

I was walking through the streets to sumeru, trying to look for the client I was supposed to meet up. After hours of walking, I finally found the client, so I went up to them waving hello in the process (idontwannaputname). They notice me, then waving back. "Sorry I'm late, I had-" before I could finish my sentence, they cut me off "Its okay. Next time, just don't keep waiting." They said, in a calm tone like how would a mother comfort their child. I nodded in thanks "Anyways, lets get on the main subject here." I said, getting to the point.

We've been talking for a few hours now, but the client seem to get distracted a few (alot) times while we were chatting. Its like they saw something and doubting what they had seen look kinda thing, I titled my head abit, it wasn't noticable (How spell). Wait, don't tell me they saw the marks! I thought in my head, blushing abit in embarressment. "Mr.kaveh, is everything alright? Your face red-" they said, confusion is hinted in their voice but they already know the reason. "Its alright-.. I just remembered something at home. If you don't mind we can chat next time." I said, as calmly as possible, even though I'm suffering in the inside.

"Yes, I too have some matters to attend too. We can chat the next time we see eachother." She said, already turning back to the direction shes heading. I waved goodbye and she did turn the gesture. I turn the opposite directiin and head back to the shared house.

I fucking swear, when alhaitham comes home he's getting a scolding from me.
