Getting through the first half of the day was certainly not easy. The teachers (who apparently should not be teaching English because they can't read) kept reading her name as Jupiter instead of Juniper when calling out attendance, which solicited many giggles and stifled laughs from her classmates, and the constant stares were very bothersome, because it seemed that nobody had anything better to do than worry about the new girl.

June was relieved to finally get to lunch, but that relief soon faded when she saw the same girl from homeroom staring right at her. Somehow Regina's leather jacket and effortlessly perfect looks had no effect on her, but her incessant glare did. June, not knowing any better, shot the girl a rather sassy look, as if to say "what's your problem??". That was her second mistake.

Regina clenched her jaw, narrowed her eyes, and stood up, ignoring her little minions asking what she was doing. She walked over to June's table, grabbing her by the collar and staring into her eyes. "Are you mentally ill or something?"

And so June made her third mistake. She elbowed the girl and stood up, saying with an equally bitchy tone, "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings by not giving a shit that you decided to stare at me like a creep every chance you get. Get in line, you aren't special. Everyone and their mother has been staring at me since I got here."

And with that June walked away, her fourth mistake. For Regina's entire life, she had everything handed to her on a silver platter. Everyone in school either wanted to be her, be with her, or feared her. So for someone to refuse to acknowledge her existence at all? She made it her mission to get June to care. And with that the obsession began.
