KAMERON'S POV

fuck fuck fuck

i wiped my sweaty palms on my pants for the hundredth time tonight

i can't believe im doing this

i stared back at myself and i wish i could say i didn't recognize the girl in front of me but i did

the girl who was so in love with someone she was willing to do the things i was about to do

just to have the chance to explore things i'd probably never get the chance to if it wasn't for this specific route

that's definitely me alright

"sweets?"

i heard Serenity call for me through the bathroom door

"babes" i said back hoping the panic in my voice wasn't noticeable

unfortunately hope can only take you so far in life

"come open the door please"

fuck i cursed to myself

i didn't want to but i needed her to calm me down right now

i unlocked it and cracked it coming face to face with her on the other side

we didn't really say anything just looking at each other

"you're nervous" she whispered

as if it wasn't written all across my face

i groaned covering my face in embarrassment

she pushed her way in closing the door behind her quietly

i was too embarrassed to talk about this even if we were best friends

best friends aren't supposed to do these kind of things so clearly it was more than that

but because we were best friends i knew that she was reading my mind as i thought to myself and she knew about every doubt in my mind

she embraced me in a warm hug rubbing my back gently

"i'm not going to say that we don't have to do this if you don't want to because i know you do want to do it"
