Author's POV

Ever since the amusement park date, Taehyun and Beomgyu might have enjoyed each other's presence by 5%. They stopped ignoring each other and also sat closer during lunch. "Our plan worked!" Kai said ecstaticly. "Yup, it sure did" Yeonjun and Soobin said, making Kai feel proud as he came up with the idea.

It was mid-semester, and it was the term's period when students were paired up in projects to gain extra credit points. This term, the Music Club was the planner and decided on an interesting project. Mr. Kim walks into the classroom with a thick, heavy document. "This is the project you're going to do this term. I have randomly put all of you in pairs, and you need to compose and write your song. I will stick the list of pairs on the board, so feel free to look at it." Mr Kim stuck the list and left the classroom. Everyone got up from their seat, crowding all together. Beomgyu managed to sneak his way to the front. "Hmmm...where's my name...Beom...gyu. It's right there." he shifted his sight to the right column to see who his partner was. "Kang Taehyun." Beomgyu's eyes widened and turned back and looked at Taehyun. "Taehyun! You're my partner!

It was lunch, and Taehyun was complaining about how Beomgyu was his partner. "No way I'm partnering with this stupid jerk" Taehyun said, annoyed. "Beomgyu might be stupid in other subjects, but you shouldn't look down on his music skills." Soobin patted Taehyun on his back, giving him a reassuring answer. Beomgyu walked towards their table with his lunch. "What did I miss?" Beomgyu asked curiously. "Oh, it's just Taehyun worried about the stray cats at the park." Soobin lied, gaining a death glare from Taehyun. Beomgyu looks at Taehyun with curious eyes but receives a glare from the raven. 

"Anyways, I'm really happy that my partner is Taehyun. If it's with others, I will pass out."

"Stop exaggerating, I wouldn't be in a pair with you if this wasn't randomized."

"I'm not exaggerating. I have freaking social anxiety stopping me."

"You didn't act like you had anxieties when you first met me, you liar."

"Maybe I just felt comfortable with you at first sight."

Beomgyu shrugs, making Taehyun a little bit flustered, but of course, he would hide his flustered expression with a cold one. Soon, the table was a little too quiet than usual. Both Taehyun and Beomgyu turned their heads towards Kai, only to see Kai's disgusted expression. They both look in his direction, and Yeonjun and Soobin are flirting with each other. "Get a fucking room!" Kai shouted disgustedly. "Hyuka! I thought we agreed on no swearing practices." Yeonjun shouted back, leaving Kai in an apologetic manner. "Oops, sorry." Lunch was over, Beomgyu and Taehyun decided to meet after school for the project.

The bell rang, and school was dismissed, as Beomgyu and Taehyun had different subjects to attend, and they were in different classes. Beomgyu walks towards the science lab and waits for the raven to appear. A few minutes later, the raven exits the classroom and sees Beomgyu leaning against the wall. He was kind of mesmerized by the posture the elder was holding, but he woke himself up before thinking too much. "Oh my god, Kang Taehyun, what are you thinking!" Taehyun said to himself before walking up to Beomgyu. The elder was dozing off while leaning against the wall. He felt someone tapping his shoulders as his eyes squinted open. "Oh, Taehyun, you're here." Taehyun was a little flustered seeing Beomgyu in this state, but he just nodded, waiting for the elder to stretch. They both left school and went to a nearby cafe to discuss the project. 

"Taehyun, do you mind helping me order?" Beomgyu asked in a soft voice.

"Order yourself, will you."

"Please...I-I will pay for yours!"

"Deal"

Taehyun walks up to the counter and orders for both him and Beomgyu. "One peach Iced tea, Iced Americano, and a strawberry shortcake. Thank you."Beomgyu quickly pays for the food and drinks as they quietly sit at the corner of the cafe. "I didn't know you were that unsocial." Taehyun scoffs.

"Hey, I would love to be able to freely communicate with others, but I just can't bring myself to do it."

"It's easy. Just open your mouth and say whatever you want."

"This is why no one talks to you."

"Shut up, Beomgyu."

"It's Beomgyu-hyung, you smarty ass!"

Soon their order arrived and they started eating. 

"So how are we going to start our project?" Taehyun asks while taking a bite of the shortcake.

"I made some instrumental bases last time, you can hear them out."

"You make songs on your own?"

"Sometimes"

Taehyun was amazed at what Beomgyu does. He never thought that the jerk in front of him would know how to compose songs or even play an instrument.

"Soobin-hyung was right" 

"For?"

"Not to look down on your music skills"

Beomgyu chuckles at what the raven said.

"This is why you should hold some respect towards me"

"I never said I didn't"

"You don't even call me hyung"

"That's different"

"You bastard"

Long story short, Beomgyu and Taehyun spend the whole evening discussing their music project. 

"Oh shit! The sun is already setting." Beomgyu looks out the window.

"Let's discuss this next time"

"Okay! So how are you going home?"

"I'm walking"

"Alright so shall we?"

Taehyun and Beomgyu leave the cafe. As they stepped out the cold wind blew towards them, making them shiver. As Taehyun started walking back home, Beomgyu was also walking in the same direction. 

"Your house is here too?" Taehyun asks. 

"No"

"Then why are you following me?"

"I just felt like walking you home"

Taehyun felt something weird in his stomach again but he tried to ignore it. 

"Why is your face so red?" Are you sick?" Beomgyu asks worriedly.

"N-no. I'm not"

The crimson-haired raises his hands and places them on the raven's forehead. Because of that Taehyun felt like he was about to explode as his body heats up the more flustered he get. He pushes Beomgyu's hands away.

"I-i'm not sick. Don't worry about it."

"Okay, Baby boy"

"Ew, what the fuck. Stop calling me that!"

"Stop swearing you underaged kid"

"You're so annoying!" Taehyun punches Beomgyu on the arm.

"Ouch! Let's just get you home alright? I'll stop" Beomgyu said while chuckling.

The day ended, and both Beomgyu and Taehyun got home safely feeling a little weird inside...(especially Taehyun)
