Zeus calls for a meeting

Athena's PoV:

Recently, I have been thinking. Yes, I know what you're thinking: You're the Goddess of Wisdom, of course you've been thinking! Well, that's true, but for once, I couldn't decide on what I want to do. Which is absurd, since I am the Goddess of Wisdom, all-knowing and well, wise. But I digress.

Lately, I have been thinking about the vow of celibacy. I had taken it almost as soon as I was born. That way, it assured my stability. I would not be overcome by such stupid things such as love. (By the way, please don't tell Aphrodite I said that. She would drag me into her secret lair and through a makeover. Again.)

Over the last few melanias, my life had become too rational, even for me. However, since I had swore on the River Styx when wording the vow of celibacy, there was no way for me to back out. I was still absorbed in my thoughts when the special bell sounded. The one that summons the Olympians to the throne room, the one that could only be touched by Zeus. I sighed in frustration. What did Zeus want this time?
