We drained the tub, he helped me up and dried me off with a towel, carrying me into another room. It was like a nursery, it was absolutely adorable. It made me remember when I used to be a little before things happened, on the streets I really didn't have enough time to.

"How about this?" Don asked, holding up a bunny onesie.

I nodded, reaching out for it which made him smile. He handed it to me as well as underwear and a sports bra. He turned away and let me put them on, I got the zipper stuck.

"Uhs, Don?" I called, he turned and saw my situation.

"Here." He said, coming over and kneeling down.

He got it unstuck and zipped it up, I was face to face with him. We held eye contact for a while before he cleared his throat.

"Wanna know the secret?" He asked, I nodded. "My name isn't really Don." He said, my eyes widened.

"What is it?" I asked, confused as to why he would lie.

"Well it is, just not my full name. It's Adonis, but I don't let most people call me by it." He admitted, I understood.

"It's really pretty." I complimented, he smiled.

"Like you," He returned, I felt my face get hot and we giggled. "Let's go get some food in you and show the guys your outfit."

We were all waiting for Don to finish with Austin's bath, there was a lot of giggling. In the meantime we had created a contract for when the time was right. Eventually we heard fast footsteps and saw Austin running down the stairs with Don chasing her.

"No running!" I said, she jumped off the stairs and laughed, Don picked her up and carried her the rest of the way.

"Look how pretty you are, how do you feel?" Theo asked, she held her stomach.

"Hungry?" I asked, she nodded. "Words, hun." I corrected.

"Yes." She answered, I smiled a bit.

"Alright, sit here and we'll make you something. David can do your hair while you wait."

We split up, deciding to make her french toast and eggs. David got started on her hair, she made a few pained sounds but other than that she was okay. Theo was helping distract her by playing some finger game.

"She saw the room, she was having fun." Don whispered, I grinned.

"This might be easier than we thought." I sighed, he agreed.

We gave her the plate and David had just finished, he had put her hair in a loose braid, she had a few strands out and against her face. She looked down and looked between us.

"Is something wrong?" I asked, she shook her head.

"No, no! Thank you really, this all means a lot." She said, I smiled. "Uhm, can you cut it?" She asked, I nodded.

We cut it up for her and she took it, starting to eat. We didn't wanna just stare at her the whole time so we had made our own as well, eating with her. We were talking a bit and noticed she had stopped eating, I looked at her and she looked terrified.

"What's wrong?" I asked, she looked at me and her lip started to quiver, my poor girl.

"I'm sorry, it was really really good but I'm full.." She apologized, I pulled her to me.

"Hey, it's okay. You ate enough and besides, one of us is gonna eat the rest, don't worry." I comforted, wiping her tears.

She smiled a bit, I smiled back.

"All right, It's getting late, let's get you to bed."

We brought her upstairs and helped her brush her teeth. Afterwards we decided to lay her down in the crib.

"Goodnight hun, rest well."

♡︎♥︎♡︎♥︎♡︎ Austin's POV

They had put me in the crib and left, I tried to relax. It was a really nice evening thanks to them, I felt safe. I ended up falling asleep, eventually days passed and I had been here for a week now, I had gotten closer with all of them. The only thing I did notice was that Mateo was distant, it made me sad. Did he not like me? Did I hurt his feelings? I was getting closer to everyone but him and I felt horrible for that. I was supposed to be asleep but I couldn't, I stood up and jumped to get out, falling onto my face. I whimpered and held my nose, in pain. I got up and left my room, looking for anyone but I hoped to find Mateo. No one was downstairs, all the lights were off so I went to his room. I peeked in and saw him on his bed, looking at his phone.

"Whoever that is get the fuck out." He growled, I pulled away.

"Sorry." I mumbled, he immediately turned to me.

"Wait, wait, come in." He said, I did. "I'm sorry kid I didn't mean to upset you." He apologized, I sat next to him. "Why are you up?" He questioned, I looked down.

"Do you not want me here?" I asked, his whole face fell, I couldn't make eye contact.

"Why would you think that?"

"Out of everyone, you're the most distant. You're nice but it feels like whenever I'm around you never wanna stay or be next to me." I admitted.

We both sat there for a minute, I felt the tears pool in my eyes. I didn't want him to hate me for telling him that, what if he really doesn't want me here? I was pulled out of my thoughts by Mateo wrapping his arms around me and cradling me in his arms.

"I'm so sorry I made you feel that way kid, of course I want you here." He apologized, I sniffled.

"Why does it feel that way then? Am I just dumb?" I asked, he shushed me.

"Never call yourself dumb, you're smart. Smarter than a lot of girls, and David," He teased, we laughed a bit. "I'll tell you what's going on, okay?"
