Rapunzel: Flynn!
Mother Gothel: [stepping forward, her expression hardening] Rapunzel, don't listen to him. He's lying to you!
[Rapunzel hesitates, torn between her loyalty to Mother Gothel and her growing affection for Flynn. After a moment's hesitation, she makes a decision.]
Rapunzel: I'm sorry, Mother. But I have to see for myself.
[With determination in her heart, Rapunzel turns away from Mother Gothel and rushes down the tower stairs to meet Flynn.]
[As she reaches the bottom, Flynn pulls her into a tight embrace]
Flynn Rider: Thank goodness you're alright. We need to get you out of here.
[Rapunzel nods, her heart pounding with a mixture of excitement and apprehension.]
Rapunzel: Let's go, Flynn. I'm ready.
[As they turn to leave, Flynn's expression darkens, a flicker of doubt crossing his features.]
Flynn Rider: Wait...
[In one swift motion, Flynn draws his knife and cuts off Rapunzel's long golden hair, leaving her shocked and betrayed.]
Rapunzel: Flynn, what are you doing?
Flynn Rider: I'm sorry, Rapunzel.
[Rapunzel looks at Mother Gothel, realization dawning on her face as she sees the truth in her eyes.]

[With her hair severed and her trust shattered, Rapunzel is left to face the harsh reality of Flynn's betrayal]
