"hey I recommended rock paper scissors and you said no. Now hand it over" Sara looked between the candy and Bella floating face before handing it to her in defeat

It was her first day off in week, Bella had been picking up shift after shift trying to get her mind off things.She hasn't seen Sara since Midsummer and the incident, which of course was one of the reasons she stayed away. She knew two weeks was a while from seeing her best friend but Sara was used to her on and off disappearing since they were kids which is why they got along so well.
"true. But your lucky I'm in a good mood today"
"why because it's perfect weather for a tan" Bella said pulling her sunglasses closer to the bridge of her nose.
"yes and my dad finally let us use his boat"
"speaking of your dad, how is he?"
"good, left on a business meeting this morning. He told me to tell you he misses you" Bella couldn't help but feel a bit of guilty. She is definitely going to have to make up for missing there weekly morning boat rides.
"I will call him later" Bella assured marking it down in the to do list in her head.
"good because I'm tired of the complaining"
"must run in the family" Bella teased, earning a chuckle.
For the next hour the girls sipped on lemonade making sure to allow the sun to hit every spot on their body. It truly was the perfect weather out, Bella was thankful she finally took a break away from everything.
Bella went over to grab another lemonade when she looked over to see Sarah giggling down at her phone for the 20th time.
"are you going to tell me what your giggling at Cameron" Sarah embarrassingly looked away trying to hold in a smile on her face.
"Oh gosh i-it's not topper right..."
"ew gosh no" she gagged "no no, it's someone else.. I met him at midsummer" midsummer? she thought for a moment until she put the two pieces together. After Bella walked out to leave midsummer after the Rafe incident Topper stopped her asking who that guy Sarah was with, she of course replied with an "I don't know" but even if she did know she would say anything to topper.
